Atrocious officiating that was benefitting him more than anyone else. The usual.
This might very well be Pop's jump the shark moment. Utterly inexplicable. I was at the game (shoutout to DPG) and everyone around me was in shock and wondering wtf just happened. And of course the boos only got worse from there.
For some reason the fans were booing Harden almost as badly as Number Two. What did I miss?
Atrocious officiating that was benefitting him more than anyone else. The usual.
Maybe Pop shouldn't have decided to be political.
Pop Cuckovich... smh... Like Kawhi gives a .
Plus, it's the arrogance. Who the do you think you are to tell fans what they should do or not do? They're paying a lot of dough for what's undoubtedly an horrific product right now.
What happened with getting over yourself? Do as I say, not as I do.
He’s just sucking off Leonard to try to save his legacy and hope he comes back. Trash without Duncan. Worst coach in US basketball history can’t even medal. People tried to call Leonard a system player when he was here then he left and won a ring with a new coach and players first year on a dumpster franchise further exposing this clown.
A day ago some aggressive happened between fans in a football game (Arg vs Bra) and police started beating Argies because the game was in Brazil.
There were kids, babies and it was fine, nobody grabbed a mic.
Now this old complains about some stupid boos when its all about entertainment, people coming out their jobs to chill, cheer and boo spending good money on tickets.
Missed the last 5 seasons, and watching this Pop crap I feel like missing this one too, like coach your team and STFU, talk about that pussy ass with your sons or grandchildren...
Pop is revealing whose fault it was that Kawhi left. We now know for sure it was Pop’s fault. He just told everyone.
“See how nice I am to Kawhi? See how much I care about him, and try to protect him? You can see for yourselves that I can’t possibly be the reason he left. You can see very clearly he couldn’t have left because of me. He’d never leave because of somebody who’s so wonderful to him. It’s obvious, isn’t it? You do see that, don’t you? Don’t you?”
Yes, Pop, we see what you’re doing.
BINGO,,,,,
This season is primarily about two things:
1) Wembanyama's development
2) Roster evaluation
So it doesn't concern me that they lose games. These guys are not a playoff team regardless of coaching.
What does concern me is how they get blown out regularly, play ty defense, and pass like blind kids at basketball camp. It's still early in the season, but that's hard to comprehend unless this is Tank 2.0.
Then to admonish the fans for booing Kawhi of all people? WTF, GTFOOH, and so on. I'm glad they kept booing.
this arrogant knew he messed up so he tried to bail himself out with the "you don't poke the bear" comment and then proceeds to be grumpy and doesn't want to answer the following questions. For a coach who preaches "getting over yourself" Pop never got over himself. And how exactly does it help to not poke the bear if you go grab the mic and the fans boo him even harder afterwards? He really thinks he's the Kim Young Un of San Antonio and can control everybody. Send him to a retirement home
this also. You will protect an opposing player from boo's, but not your own. This fakeass high morale by Pop is a front. I hope Primo becomes an NBA player, so Pop can get on the mic again and tell the fans to stop booing just cause he likes to show women his
Pop really thinking he is the "Godfather" of the NBA.
No other head coaches would even dare to pull this stunt ever. Not even Phil Jackson I say
why post an outright lie?
That was quite clear live, and I think it shocked him.
See, I view this the same as him telling people not to boo. People should be able to boo, and Pop should be able to express political views. Attempting to stifle either is unacceptable.
Pop just poked the bear himself. Most the fan base has given him benefit of the doubt that he should be coaching this team. What a self inflicted ego move. He’s surrounded by his yes team, so he probably doesn’t know how dumb he is being. Also, show some class and talk to sideline reporters in a serious way, you know like every other coach in the league.
Phil is probably laughing his ass off about this. He’s probably like wtf?
I don't think people have a problem with him having views. It's that, much like last night, he speaks in absolutist terms as though he is the only one allowed to have a view point and everyone else who disagrees with him is fundamentally and absolutely wrong.
It's this narcissistic arrogance that he continually demonstrates from everything he speaks on, how he treats reporters who dare ask him a question, he's just a grade A narcissistic prick. And those people tend to fall the hardest at the end, and last night feels like the beginning of the end.
He needs to be fired asap. You don’t do that to this great fanbase. If he was a real man next game he takes the mic and apologizes to the fans
