Great argument right there for the need for expansion

Lol…
There are too many bowls already… Saturation holiday season. Thank you Lowe’s for all you have done for college football to give us Slippery Rock v. All Corncob St.
The hurt and griping will still remain. The biggest change is that it will add more interesting permutations and rules.
Unless it becomes ncaa basketball which involves “wake me up upon the tournament selection.”
It should also be interesting how power (choose number) conferences will be crowned.
The worst conference arguments expand with the expansion (pretty cool).
The networks will have their hands all over that as well.

Tough luck for Ohio State then. That’s one that voted postpone.
You would keep FSU out even if they were undefeated? It’s not their fault Florida was no good this year - that should have been a tough non conference game. They also played LSU in non conference and beat them. I think they are deserving if they win. I know ACC is bad but Big 12 wasn’t that great either.
I would like to see Florida State in with their real quarterback.
And the big 10 has two good teams.
Penn State? Who did they beat? They look like a team that’s trying not to lose bad against Michigan and Ohio State. Imo Utah is not a real quality win. At least in the big 12 you never know what’s gonna get thrown at you. that’s why I’m kind of sad about leaving. The coaches are really innovative. I will miss all the weird offenses and defenses.
during the cfp ranking show the head of the comitte said oregon is ahead of texas because of the bo nix completion percentage............not eye test not resume not wins........completion percentage
texas ad & sark should go ballistic if texas is left out............
If true they are violating their own criteria written up.
I think the committee can now just say look we knew it would not work.
The 12 team will. I heartily disagree. But I cant wait anyway. Should be cool.
Experiments with semi sacred structures can be fun, for the first year at least.
At this time next year some teams might sit players out waiting for the playoffs. I guess thats fun for betting purposes.
Also the maneuvering to get into what a team deems is, the easier side of the "draw", could be fun.

Yeah, Big 10 was basically a two team conference this year. Penn State did not impress me.
If Oregon losses they are out of the top 4 and if they win they are in.
It gets interesting if Washington losses because are they still top 4? Not better than Texas in my biased opinion.
If Georgia, Michigan, Washington, and FSU all win, they should be in the playoffs. You cannot keep an undefeated power 5 conference team out of the playoffs.
That would also mean that Oregon and Alabama end with 2 loses. tOSU and Texas are left out in the cold, but those are the breaks.
As a Horns homer, our only realistic chance to make the final 4 is for Georgia, Michigan, Washington, and Louisville to win their games and Texas blows the doors off Okie St. If this happens, I do not see how tOSU can be picked over Conference Champions, Texas.
If we win the Big 12, but miss out on the playoffs, I hope they do not put us against a team like Tulane. No disrespect to Tulane, but they are in an inferior conference. I would prefer someone with a little more meat and potatoes.
Hook em Horns.
Rofl ending this really good season with the horns playing Tulane would be hilarious
Kinda reminds me when Bama played Utah in the Sugar Bowl after losing to Florida in 2008 and missing out on the National Championship. Utah won because Bama clearly did not want to be there
Happens a lot in bowl games where the disappointed team loses. That's how Tech beat #4 Cal with Aaron Rodgers in 2004
yeah you're right, probably does when you have two contenders in the same conference. Losing team goes on to miss playoffs and play upstart team from non-Power 5 conference with nothing to lose.
It is horrible from a fan perspective who want to see a really good matchup.
But I can see Sarkisian seeing it as a great opportunity for next year.
Sweat, Murphy, Ford, Barron, Worthy, A Mitc , Sanders, C. Jones et al ... sit out and the young guys get to play. (A problem this year because UT could not blow anyone out but tech) The 3rd and 4th quarter of that game was very helpful. People finally woke up and for the first time noticed Arch Manning is by far the best athlete at QB and is NOT this slow plodding Uncle Peyton and Eli (Both had to be great in other ways) Arch is more like his grandpappy. "He is white so he is slow" will be dispelled very quickly. Same thing was thought about Colt McCoy. Dude was very fast but not they type of runner Vince was. And once Colt got beaten up he learned he needed to learn the pocket.
, play Ewers a quarter, then split time with Murphy and Arch. If Ewers decide to leave (I dont think he will, too many good QBs in front of him in the draft) even better.
Btw I want to see a REAL QB battle between those 3 QBs next year if Ewers stays. If Ewers does not learn how to move and just folds in the pocket it might get Arch in. At least he can get free enough to throw the ball away.
Anyways...
You got a whole of a lot of practice time. It will be a real test for next season
From a "get your team better" perspective I see it as a neat deal before SEC time.
There are so many guys who could use first team reps for the dead month and then a real game.
You have more of a baseline on the players who return for 24-25 And Tulane has some good players that can punch some of the young guys itching for action in the mouth. Then you can say you got to get a lot better to egos.
Btw this strengthens your 12 team playoff argument... more of a possibility of seeing the best players not sitting out like many do for bowl games.
I just vomited words...Felt good.
Why was Oregon leapfrogged over Texas and Bama after beating ty USC?
Common opponent was Texas Tech which is suppose to count.
I think destroying Colorado (and the myth getting crushed) also counted (not supposed to)
Really I think it comes down to Oregon absolutely destroying opponents with UT just getting by. This is not supposed to be a factor under the committee criteria but it seems most reasonable to me. Lots of stuff could still happen that makes all this hand wringing moot. But its still fun.
^^ Really hope
Bama beats GA
Iowa beats Michigan
Oregon beats WA
just to f up the selection committee.
I bear no ill will towards Fl State and sorry to see their QB go down.
Don't see how you can F them out of a spot by saying their backup QB might not be as good.
Turn everything into participation award garbage. Figures you'd be all in, Blake.
That'd put Alabama in, Mult?
I can't claim for Texas, but they'll be trace amount of mercy shown Alabama with the expansion on tap. We've been shown mercy time and again thru the years of (The 4). [That loss] was in Alabama. We've nobody to blame but ourselves.
Hard to say.
GA is supposed to be the cats meow so Bama can and will push that narrative.
Texas will claim they beat Bama so how can Bama jump them.
Purportedly a lot of Big 10 slease balls on the selection committee so they may try to weasel Ohio State in.
Cheapshot phucks from Florida did Florida State QB in.
