Walking the streets of Gdansk, there is a memorial on every block. Brings home the point of how our ancestors fought for every street. Polska has great traditions all over our cities but this one really stuck with me.
Gdańsk also has arguably the best WW2 museum in the World. I went. If it occurred, no matter by who, it's here. Multiple pathways divided by nation. You'll spend 4 hours+
Solidarity museum. My biggest pleasant surprise of my trip. Another aesthetically eye catching brand new museum. The end will navigate you to the roof overseeing the ship yard.
Polska poured money into Gdansk. The crowd is Scandinavian. Must see.
*Polska has a number of amazing museums. IMO politically/ideologically it's fair. It doesn't turn the experience into Disneyland but also allows people to book tours with more "controversial" guides. For example when I went to Oskar Schindler's Factory in Krakow. Polish guy didn't baby.

Polska is badass trip especially during footy tournament. Quiet early in the day people running errands. Then everyone tuned to the games. Except for harassing women, you can do anything you want on weekend nights. There will always be some alcoholic on the bench to sing with you.
Bum might wake up on the bench but they aren't allowed to linger. Have to hide from public view. Bums ask for cigarettes but not money.
