brynn forbes (from a jail cell)
would probably be less toxic/harmful to the team than the above mentioned garbage
2 negative assets and a solid scorer and 3 second rounders?
Yeah you're looking at giving up a first with them to get bryn forbes back

This year's draft doesn't even have a Brandon Miller much less a Wemby.
Agreed. This year's draft is crap that's why the idea of tanking is stupid. This year's draft doesn't have a top prospect. It's a draft where the first 10-12 picks are equal in value. That's why tanking this year is very stupid. I feel tanking is an excuse the national media and some fans in here are using to defend Pop's crappy coaching. We'll be hearing the same thing next year too when the spurs have another garbage season of winning 10-20 games.
This isn't a tank. It's a bunch of ty players coupled with the worst coaching staff in the league. Oh and with the tiest GM in the league.
This year's draft has no prize. It's supposed to be one of the worst drafts in a long time. That's why tanking for it is stupid.
Yeah. This team is simply bad. It’s not tanking or a young team learning. They thought this team would be compe ive - which makes me question their ability to evaluate players.
Spurs have collected a roster full of cast offs, throw aways, and middling draft picks. They got to start ac ulating actual talent.
All the crying over the last shot makes no sense. Sochan was supposed to pass to Jones but Jones got pushed to the floor with no call. Vassell was the secondary option and there wasn't really time for him to pass to anyone. At least by chucking up a quick shot there was a small chance at a putback.
Why wasn't the play for Wemby? You can't get the ball to your 7'4" center near the basket?
Of course there was time for a good bb player
Vassel is just an elite shooter, very average in every other aspects of the game on offense
SELL HIGH NOW
If only it was that easy.
No one on the court has the reach and length of Wemby. Get the ball up to him on that last play or at least try.
Giancarlo Esposito preferred hero balling
The lobs weren't really working all night. Down by one the best play is generally to maximize the chances of getting a shot off, even if it's a lower percentage shot, rather than take the higher risk of a turnover for a higher percentage shot. Wemby would get at least doubled, if not tripled, on a designed lob.
LOL wide open pass missed. While I don't blame Vassell too much because of the time factor, in hindsight you'd have to be a moron to think that shot was better than whipping it to Wemby.
Winning gets nothing but feels. Still, they need a win now and then. Early draft picks even with a ty field is better than later ones.
Spurs don't have go-to plays or players. They are lost and confused at the end of games. It's not a new thing. It happens to a lot of teams for the exact same reasons.
Young and inexperienced. Bad, or no coaching.
Really thought Vassell would be the one b level star you could build around Wembanyama. ….And then that play happened. Down 1 and taking a 30 foot three is one thing. Missing the open colossus on top of that… disappointment beyond the pale
On the flipside.. If Wemby doesnt jus stand still-guarding no-one on the switch while leaving Zion free under the basket for an easy score . We wouldnt have to worry about that last play as much
Defnese is the easiet part to learn as a growing bball player. Wemby still has alot to figure out inclduing at 7foot4 you still have to man up.
I don't see it as bad coaching. Rather than putting players in hard situations, for their development or for their detriment. I do agree that the defense should be better. It all comes down to what do you want of pop? To try win games or try and develop players? Sochan, Johnson, and vassell have all in their own way developed. Spurstalk were ready to give up on Wesley and he has this point of attack defender development going on. Barlow has shown promise too. Branham looks bad though. We know what mcdermott and cedi are.
The Wemby minute limit hasn't helped. I'm not a fan of bringing him back on with less than 3 mins left.
Despite the losing season, the spurs players seem close to each other and it's obvious there will be changes in the off season.
Pop's has experimented
Slippy
Sure let's put that on Wemby who's already doing more than anyone else on defense and gets zero help on offense ...
wtf...
Also at 7foot4 with mobility and athleticism doesnt need to buy every fake
I love Wemby. Dosnt mean i stay myopic and piss on one player. Only
The fact this was a close game against arguably their toughest matchup in the NBA is impressive tbh. Missed the whole game so I'll have to take timvp's grades as my cliffnotes.
My question still remains...why is the Invisible Man still starting?
Champagnie should be nowhere near a starting NBA lineup. Might as well play 4 on 5.
