I hate Jabbar but Wemby does stuff under the basket that reminds me of him. The outlets passes, the stretched out finishes to the rim, how he protects the ball after a rebound.

I figure he has to have watched film on Jabbar. There are only like maybe a half dozen physical comps to Wemby in NBA history and Jabbar is one of them.

People who are old enough to see him play know that he has become quite overrated the last 20 years. Don't get me wrong, top 10 player alltime, but nowadays people act like he's top 2 or 3 when he just wasn't that guy who was going to carry you to ~50 wins every year in his prime like Tim or Shaq, Bird or Magic, LeBron or Michael, Wilt, etc. Magic really saved his legacy. I'd have him third best center alltime behind Wilt and Shaq, and honestly Hakeem has a case too because at least Hakeem had crap supporting casts in the years he didn't hit 50 while Abdul-Jabbar never played without another HOFer next to him IIRC (Oscar Robertson, Bob Dandridge, Gail Goodrich, Adrian Dantley, and Jamaal Wilkes were his teammates before teaming up with Magic).

Really? I can't think of anyone who's pushing him as more than he was? I think being non flashy has made him somewhat forgettable over the years.

I like Mobley, but he's a non shooter yet somehow not only attempts but makes all 3 of his 3's. Reminds me of when Williamson went 4 for 4 from 3 in his debut vs the Spurs.
