The potential is there, but dude still has a tendency to take high difficulty shots and wants to act like he is Kevin Durant out there.

Vic minutes restriction and no back to back is actually good for him he got his second wind because of that. Now he hit a wall again.
Wemby cannot cover for everyone defensively. The guy is running around trying to help everyone. This was not sustainable. You have to get players who can defend.

Some spurs fans nit picking the fuk out Vassel's game is just pure hate or jealousy.
He playing the best ball of his short career so far. The improvement from last season is clear as day and that ceiling hasnt been reached yet.
Aside from Wemby , DVs elevation to another level should be appreciated. Going into next season hopefully they start to win so his detractors can go into hibernation and as spurs fans we all got more to look forward to.

Thats the rub . Which direction are spurs heading.
They just got rid of their best shooter to stockpile on 2nd rounders. Maybe to also sign Barlow which i look as positive.
Their geratric coach experimented to start the season on their PG posi.
Winning doessnt seem to be the priority. Thats for sure.

Yeah Vassell is well into his development window but I can't wait to see Devin after one more offseason. He was limited to just 38 games in 22-23 on the knee injury so that's like half a season behind schedule. There's still time imho
He clearly is ascending especially after factoring in tank disinterest this year
I don't beleive that's gonna work with Wemby honestly in the long term. Vassel wants his stats and is doing his own thing. The chemistry between the two isn"t there.
People say Wemby is gassed, but is he only gassed or also pissed? And I would be gassed too if I was running all over the floor on defense and offense as a freaking generational talent only just to see my guards stat pad in a 14 point loss. This is his team not Devin's. that's what people mean when they say losing is discouraging and you do'nt even try...
0 shots, in the 4th the two games before... I mean, there's something wrong on this team and I really do'nt beleive Wemby will be in for this that long. Kid is a winner and Pop ITV sure didn't match with that. If spurs believe Vic is OK for 2-3 years of losing, being ignored on offense, and not making the POs with a bunch of wannabee HOFers...
And it's not just Wemby... A 4 page game thread for a game with Victor freaking Wembanayama... People don't even care anymore, they lost interest, certainly reason why Pop gave that ITV to L'Equipe, since they had wind of the lost of interest and frustration in France, and honestly for all the NBA fans... Wemby is not just your random top rookie you develop in 4 years, he's already ready and should be your PRIORITY, not teaching freaking fundamentals to 4-5 year role players who may not be there in 2 years... And it really doesn't feel like Wemby is spurs priority right now. They don't respect the kid talent and dedication to the game and being great, potentially sucking him off of a ROTY, which I'm sure spurs don't care about. But what about Vic?
