We're simply reaching the limits of what is possible for Ukraine... and for that matter, we're reaching the limits of what is possible for Russia as well.

If they don't negotiate they risk losing everything. The hundreds of billions of dollars in support isn't going to be renewed forever. They have this year, and then another major questions mark and more resistance to blank checks. This while Russia may actually be getting stronger.

If Putin could go back and take a do over I guarantee he would.
This was a horrible mistake by Putin that was horrendous for the Russian people.

If we can keep paying for healthcare costs we can very easily handle helping Ukraine. Especially when just about every real European democracy will also continue to help even more, especially when Putin continues to threaten them as well.
And Especially if mistakes are made by Russia. The Balkans and Poland are close, and if interfered with, Russia will have a wider conflict on its hands. Putin is playing with fire. Moscow itself is feeling this war directly now. And it could get worse.

Russia is a has-been, and China isn't even on Russia's level. In 50 years, China's demographics will be in the midst of hard tanking and their economy is already in shambles. The CCP will be doing anything to hold on to their power at that point.

There's never been a more dominant period for the USA, in all honesty. There's no way either country -- alone -- can challenge us outside of outright nuclear war. The only real fear now is if the two band together, and that would be even worse for China (sanctions).
