Hopefully the low IQ posters in the Draft thread watched that game so they can stop speaking that bust coming here into the air.
That senile refused to double Embiid on the night he got 70 (in which Vic was also in foul trouble all game, I might add) He isn’t adjusting to . Especially with Mr Trust the Process in his ear.

Wemby was playing very uninspired. Maybe hurt/gassed but just lazy offense. With that said, need shooters around him that the defense will respect. Particularly brutal when the point guard is just sagged off of
I mean if you want shooting and defense from a lead guard your best bet is Sheppard and hoping he has enough playmaking chops
I mean MJ, Kobe defended the best players and still expected to carry on offense. It makes you wonder if this is a learning process to learn from. Wemby will adjust defensively next time. Yet come the time the Spurs are competing, Wemby would need help defending the best post-up players and avoid getting pounded too much. I think Sochan would be too small in such situation. I wonder if they add a big physical player or stand pat which would be a crime tbh
If Spurs had drafted Segun instead of Primo, likely Wemby would not be on the Spurs. I'll take bad GM moves and Wemby. It's just that they can't screw up on drafting or assembling a team from this point forward.
wtf is this roster wright created.
Kobe definitely did not do that his final 10 years or so in the league. It’s okay to defend as a team, it all doesn’t have to be 1 on 1. Tonight was unacceptable and a coaching malpractice. Amen Thompson is one of the worst shooters I’ve ever seen and his defender was glued to him all game, leaving Sengun 1 on 1 with Collins for the entirety of the game. Jalen Green could have also been left open to send a help defender.
Pretty much like Sabonas. Victor got bodied out of the way
Saying that victor hardly went back at him . Yes he played in a crowd. too often he settled for the 3 or was loose with the ball when inside.
Rockets were able to pack the paint cos they never had to guard Sohan or Jones. Jones has been mIA for a few games now. Sohan should be embarrassed ss he never could make the rockets respond . They sagged off himeven when he was inside the three.
Looks like wemby cant carry this team into winning games in the future.hopefully im wrong.
Game threads are just garbage now, huh.
are u okay bro
Too bad the others are too slow to realize this. After losing Kawhi, the plan to get Wemby started then. They knew about him for years because of the ties with Parker, etc, so they had to put on a multi-year tank. Drafting good players just wasn't going to cut it. Getting rid of Murray in time was the last piece of the puzzle.
Wemby did not look like he should have played tonight. I wouldn't be surprised to hear the team wanted him to sit but he didn't want to let the winning streak die. It definitely felt like Pop played into the Rockets' game plan by trying to force the ball to Victor. As crazy as it may seem, they were better able to deal with the Rocket when they had Collins out there. That should never be the case, and it's a testament to how much Wemby was ailing. But it was bonkers he played the whole quarter. If he sits even for a few minutes in the middle of the fourth, the Spurs probably find a way to win.
I don't mind the loss, so I'm not actually mad. But it felt like a game to give Barlow some run. I guess if Pop continues with his streak of having Victor never share the court with Draymond, that opportunity will come on Thursday.
Guys who are 20 years old tend to not have that in their wheelhouse. It's one the primary ways in which Victor is still on a slower timeline than a lot of posters want. Wemby, even hurt, had a number of strong possessions, but without his agility, it wasn't going to work. Even so, in a few years, he'll be able to do more with less effort, and that will allow him to have consistent games even when his health and energy level fluctuates.
“You son of a… I’m in!”
The Spurs can’t shoot. Rocket blitz, doubled and tripled teamed Wemby all game with and without the ball.
No point guard, no shooters no chance.
Also, please for the love of all that is sacred, let this be the last 20 games of Champagnie’s NBA career as a Spur. Whoever’s idea that was should be fired.
Victor was due for an off-game. Unfortunately, I think it was the fouls that did it. He was looking on point to start, but got a bit off-kilter on the defensive end a few times and Sengun made him pay.
It should be chalked up as a learning experience for Wemby; he will learn to make his weakness his strengths. At some point he will have seen everything they can throw at him to try and stop him……. It’s year one. A better pg and bigger body in the post is needed. It’s dope that we have the means to fix it all, not to many teams can do that without sinking the franchise.
Yeah, I need to remember this. I'll take the screwups and leave it be because we were lucky enough to get Victor. But like you said, from this point on, they can't be screwing up.
Sengun will go down in history as a better player than Wemby because of this one game, just like how Hakeem is better than the Admiral.
Yeah that’s not why Hakeem is better than David. Also it’s OKAY to acknowledge Wemby got his ass kicked. It happens. He will learn from it.

It was the closest thing from a hazing from Pop lol
He let Victor on an island all night with almost no help either on offense or defense.
As if Pop didn't like the growing hype surrounding Wemby and wanted to show him how far he still is
Segun still had a great game mate
But he himself was surprised at how Wemby was left by himself in the post game interview
