Trump just needs a half hour in Saint Croix with Coach Popovich, face to face. So he can "get over himself".
    He already made President.

That's why we're here this evening, UNT.

If Trump looks too much like a loser in a month and a half, they'll dump him.
He's looked like a loser for the last 8 years. He constantly es, whining about how everyone's out to get him, whining about how people are mean to him, looking like a big dumb out of touch trust fund baby. None of that matters to his base, because he's not afraid to talk about how much he distrusts Mexicans.

Americans have been trying to murder him, Spurm. You'd be cross as well if somebody threatened to cut your head off and blow you and your family up.

Sure, but he's a convicted felon.

Trump will be sentenced on July 11, with a nonzero chance of hard time.

Very plausible, hope you're wrong, and there's no guarantee any eventual stand-in wouldn't be even worse.
Cruz would be worse, Deathsantis would be worse, plenty of GOPers could be worse than Trump, but they don't know how to play the media the way Trump does. This is a guy who has been nothing but a failure in business but even after he blew all of daddy's money he got NBC to pay him a fortune to market as the canonical American business genius. Trump's charisma and skill as a conman is something the rest of the GOP can't match.

He made ”Convict” all by his lonesome, all there was, is and will be, forever more.

Can’t take that away from him, he earned that big “C.”

Book him, I mean, book it!

if only it went no further...I estimate about 35% of voters will vote for Trump no matter what happens short of Trump giving up the ghost before the election.

Nonzero for sure but unfortunately the judge has been pretty consistent with his leanings that Trump's 'First Amendment Right' to run for POTUS shall not be infringed, whatever that means. Means he's unlikely to do hard time but a lot of outlets are saying he could be spending the campaign trail on house arrest in Florida and thus be limited to campaigning within ~10 miles of Mar-a-Lago. Other outlets are saying that he'll get by with fines, extensive probation, and cease and desist type of injunctions.

The dream scenario is that he gets the full sentence (4 years state prison is the max, as per NY law prison sentences for white-collar felonies can only be served concurrently, not consecutively) and then a plea deal is done where the sentence gets thrown out but in exchange he agrees to forever give up all current and future bids for any federal or state public office, including POTUS. Unfortunately, I don't think that's cons utional. Will Hunting can attest to that.

All we know is that the judge has the ability to sentence anything from zero to four years of prison time, but only 10% of similar cases generally result in actual jail time, most get by with probation and fines. House arrest is the intermediate option and it would all but ensure a Biden victory if only Biden could physically go to the swing states.

The GOP needs to do the smart and appropriate and right thing and distance themselves from Trump right now. Do a "runoff" primary in every state between the second and third place finishers, Haley and DeSantis. Hopefully DeSantis wins, which I think he would, even if he placed third in the primaries due to dropping out quickly.

........why? I think he'd be a good president, so would Gretchen Whitmer. Maybe a unity ticket?

    Biden and Trump suck. Lol.
