If the system is corrupt - and the convicted felon still has you fellating him....

Do you agree - that EVERY CONVICTED CRIMINAL IN JAIL TODAY -

should be immediately released from jails/prisons?
Homer, running just as fast as he can.

He will not be convicted once the appeal is over

Very few in jail are very innocent

Probably won't be before the election. I think there's two NY appeal courts before it gets to the federal level.

SCOTUS is an appellate court, it's not like the King's Bench in Canada that can reach down and grasp any case that interests it.

But if it did, who could stop it?

Six Republican SCOTUS justices will be sorely tempted by political time opportunity (the presidential campaign and election) to exercise and extend their judicial sovereignty.

SCOTUS making campaign/election determinations was radical in 2000 and it still is. SCOTUS is a sovereign. At the moment, it's a very partisan one, by design.

Imo this is very different and it would not be six willing members.
I think there are red team members on the SC that are sick of Trump and two that absolutely worship him along with their wives.

No, the only there is Roberts...he'd jam far left if one of the stalwarts were to die, or, leave. That's your wheelhouse, peeg, but, until that happens we got the con.

Conservatives missed their first chance at hijacking an election, I tend to doubt the consequences to the J6 putsch will discourage them from trying again, and they'll want legal cover. I tend to doubt partisan judges will bypass the opportunity to cement their gains and smite the other side now.

I think it all really comes down to whether DJT is sentenced to, and goes to, jail.

The GOP prefers cons who don't go to jail, but hey, there's a first time for everything...
