I would say all the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of crypto that was laundered through mixers as proved in court is pretty legit.

Ya. A lot of that has already been debunked with regards to the numbers and how they tracked addresses by the way. Sure, theres some of that, but the estimations were very far off, often times intentionally, so the data could be weaponzied by Warren and the like.

Alongside the constant rhetoric painting the picture that Bitcoin and crypto are used mainly or only for illegal things etc…

Currently just for doing that? No one. Well at least not in the USA. But across the world in authoritarian places like China they are. My point was not only the rhetoric which I pointed out from government officials and the like, but the legislation that are actively trying to pass that would immediately make people like me criminals if it were passed.
