Joe shouldn't have debated the felon. There's no reason to, Trump isn't a legit candidate and doesn't deserve to be on a stage with the POTUS.
I said it first...why he got within 10 miles of Trump was a mystery.

And now he and his crew rue the day that they only scheduled 2 debates. If your good day/bad day scenario would work out another debate within the next month would be just what the doctor ordered. You know what? Trump won't get within 10 miles of him now until September and if the polls steel by then I would cancel if I were Trump..." you, Joe. No."

Joe's issue clearly comes and goes. He's likely not competent to be POTUS even though he has moments of clarity. Joe would have to decide to not run, there's nothing anyone but congress can do otherwise and I don't know if they can do that based on a debate performance. This isn't new though, everyone here already knew. Clearly Joe's team over prepped him and he couldn't sift through the talking points well enough to fire back meaningful responses. He seems to do better when there's no exchanges, but for much of the debate I thought he did ok.
They banked on Trump ting the bed on-the-spot. That's what I woulda done and with much gusto. I'd went down the laundry list the entire running time.

That old man did just the opposite, Lue. He'd studied the 3-D chess board you guys are always touting and laid waste to that Biden with it. Beat him like a red headed re ed step child.

Daddy, that was wet work, 101.

    Trump did that.

Trump being on the GOP ticket isn’t a good enough excuse to continue to run Biden as the opponent. If Democrats want to guarantee a victory, they really need to replace him and fast. The other problem with this is we’ve been lied to by our government for at least the past 2 years about Biden’s mental fitness. It was somewhat apparent in 2020 but I’ll be generous and say the last 2 years have been really bad. This doesn’t really instill confidence in our government. Sure, Trump lies but it’s mostly his ego and pretty obvious. The lies that have been told during this administration are on a larger scale as far as being hush hush about a president in mental decline. I’d argue that it’s a national security issue to keep Joe around even now. There are still things he makes the ultimate decision on. Time to swear in Kamala. At least she’s not a total embarrassment in front of the rest of the world.

But to send Biden to the showers in front of Trump would activate an entire new assassination crew onto Trump.

It has absolutely nothing to do with Biden. This is, always was and always will be about Trump the minute he made President. And Trump knows it and knows everybody in this country knows he knows it. That fact is what inspires that old man. He won and he was not permitted to win, but forbidden to do so. It's a White man thing. I've been there, sure, not anywhere near this level, but I've been there and the resentment after "my" accomplishment(s) was palpable.

We've all be there. It's a grand feeling, and can be dangerous because then, yes, you're marked as Trump has been marked now for 8 years. But is it worth it? You couldn't drag me, or, that old man away.

You're not looking at this right, tbh. The only thing that guarantees a Dem victory is Dennison, not Joe. At the end of the day, Joe is old, decrepit and a known quan y. ie: Kamala would be a substantially worse candidate going into an election.

The real danger for Dems is Joe dying before the election, where that switch would be forced.

Gold Star family speaks out after Biden falsely claims no troops have died on his watch: 'Shame on you'

Biden's debate claims led Gold Star father Darin Hoover to 'yell back at the TV'

    Fox News

    Published June 29, 2024 4:39pm EDT

President Biden is facing criticism from Gold Star families after falsely claiming during Thursday's CNN Presidential Debate that he's the "only president this century, this decade, that doesn't have any troops dying anywhere in the world."
Biden, after denying that 13 American service members were lost in Afghanistan, also said during the debate that "when he [Trump] was president, they were still killing people in Afghanistan. And he didn't do anything about that."
Darin Hoover, Gold Star father of Staff Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover who was one of those 13 American service members killed in action on August 26, 2021, in Kabul, Afghanistan, had a strong reaction to Biden's debate claims.

The younger Hoover, 31, was engaged to be married when he was killed. It was his third tour in Afghanistan.

"I knew Afghanistan was going to come up sooner or later," said Hoover in an interview with Fox News Digital, recalling the debate.
"You know, the stumbling, bumbling buffoon that we have in the White House had the audacity to say that under his watch that no military members have died."
In a statement to Fox News Digital after the initial publication of this story, a White House spokesperson said, "President Biden cares deeply about our service members, their families, and the immense sacrifices they have made. That’s why the President attended the dignified transfer of the 13 brave service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan on August 26, 2021; as well as, of the three who lost their lives in Jordan earlier this year."
"As he said then and continues to believe now: Our country owes them a great deal of gra ude and a debt that we can never repay, and we will continue to honor their ultimate sacrifice," the spokesperson added.

The Gold Star dad added, "the rage, the absolute disgust that I got, from hearing him say that--I started yelling back at the TV. Just out of frustration. He's never acknowledged, not one time, any of our kids. He's never said their names. Even to this day, I doubt very seriously that he even knows their names."

Taylor's mother, Kelly Barnett, had this to say to Biden: "What I would say to them is shame on you using our children as a pawn. It just makes me sick."

"It's sickening, but it goes to the way that we've been treated the past three years. It's three years--we're going on three years now. And it's just disrespect after disrespect. This is probably the cherry on top."

Hoover said the Biden administration sent the 13 Afghanistan Gold Star families letters – a year later.
"All the 13 families get a canned letter. It said the same exact same thing. And it looked like it was a photocopy of all of that. It was basically, we're sorry that your service member had died, and that's been it. We've had absolutely nothing before, nothing since," Hoover added.

Hoover has made efforts to meet with Biden on behalf of the 13 lost on August 26, 2021. He said, "as much as we tried it in the past, when we've been going before Congress to try and get a meeting, it's been denied because he's a chicken."

"[Biden] doesn't want to deal with us. He knows that we're in his face, but he doesn't want to deal with us," said Hoover.

I mean, I'm still voting for the decrepit corpse, but he did himself the opposite of any favors. Can't see hardly any swings, moderates, et cetera voting for him after how dead he looked. Democrats seem like they ed themselves by not getting someone who can literally speak coherently. Hoping the issues are what people vote, but my wife is also on the fence and just found Biden laughably old and ugly. She hates Trump too but said at least he looks alive. It's a sad state, and again I'll still vote Biden because I just can't bring myself to vote for that felon racist lying whiner. But yeah, he looks old and about to die. No way he lasts 4 years.

    JOE BIDEN
Atlanta Journal-Cons ution editorial board calls for Biden to drop out 'for the good of the nation'

The newspaper said that Biden failed to communicate his vision for America during the debate

    Fox News
    Updated June 29, 2024 7:08pm EDT

[[[The Atlanta Journal-Cons ution (AJC) is calling for President Biden to step out of the presidential election after his debate debacle on Thursday night.
The AJC Editorial Board is publishing a front page editorial Sunday arguing that Biden should bow out of the election "for the good" of the country and to defeat former President Trump.
"The shade of retirement is now necessary for President Biden," the board wrote.

Biden, they argued, failed to convey a "competent and coherent vision for the future of America" at the first presidential debate in Atlanta on Thursday.]]]

    THE NEW YORK TIMES
New York Times editorial board calls for Biden to drop out: His candidacy is a 'reckless gamble'

Calls continue to grow for Biden to withdraw his re-election bid following his 'disaster' debate performance

By Joseph A. Wulfsohn Fox News
    Published June 28, 2024 6:49pm EDT

[[[The New York Times editorial board is calling on President Biden to "leave the race" following his disastrous debate performance.
"President Biden has repeatedly and rightfully described the stakes in this November’s presidential election as nothing less than the future of American democracy," the editorial board began Friday.
"Mr. Biden has said that he is the candidate with the best chance of taking on this threat of tyranny and defeating it. His argument rests largely on the fact that he beat Mr. Trump in 2020. That is no longer a sufficient rationale for why Mr. Biden should be the Democratic nominee this year."

BIDEN'S ‘DISASTER’ DEBATE PERFORMANCE SPARKS MEDIA MELTDOWN, CALLS FOR HIM TO WITHDRAW FROM 2024 RACE

The New York Times editorial board is calling on President Biden to exit the 2024 presidential race. (Getty Images)

The Times offered a blunt assessment as to how voters perceived the president, declaring, "Biden is not the man he was four years ago."
"The president appeared on Thursday night as the shadow of a great public servant. He struggled to explain what he would accomplish in a second term. He struggled to respond to Mr. Trump’s provocations. He struggled to hold Mr. Trump accountable for his lies, his failures and his chilling plans. More than once, he struggled to make it to the end of a sentence," the editorial board told readers. "Mr. Biden has been an admirable president. Under his leadership, the nation has prospered and begun to address a range of long-term challenges, and the wounds ripped open by Mr. Trump have begun to heal. But the greatest public service Mr. Biden can now perform is to announce that he will not continue to run for re-election."
MEDIA FIGURES SHOCKED AT BIDEN'S 'BAD' DEBATE PERFORMANCE: ‘TOTAL AND COMPLETE DISASTER’
The editorial board went on to call Biden's candidacy a "reckless gamble" and that there are other Democrats "better equipped to present clear, compelling and energetic alternatives to a second Trump presidency."
"There is no reason for the party to risk the stability and security of the country by forcing voters to choose between Mr. Trump’s deficiencies and those of Mr. Biden. It’s too big a bet to simply hope Americans will overlook or discount Mr. Biden’s age and infirmity that they see with their own eyes," the editorial board continued.

"It should be remembered that Mr. Biden challenged Mr. Trump to this verbal duel. He set the rules, and he insisted on a date months earlier than any previous general election debate. He understood that he needed to address longstanding public concerns about his mental acuity and that he needed to do so as soon as possible. The truth Mr. Biden needs to confront now is that he failed his own test," the editorial board wrote.

    Trump humiliated Joe...

Biden reportedly humiliated by debate performance, lacks confidence: 'It's a mess'

One person close to Biden told NBC, 'it's a mess'

    Fox News
    Published June 30, 2024 9:55am EDT

President Biden was reportedly humiliated by his debate performance on Thursday and was "devoid of confidence," according to reports.
"It's a mess," a person familiar with the president's mood after the debate told NBC News.
The outlet reported several prominent Democrats expressed concern in private over Biden's chances of beating Donald Trump in November following his debate performance. However, they remain steadfast in their support for Biden in public.

"The only person who has ultimate influence with him is the first lady," another person told the outlet. "If she decides there should be a change of course, there will be a change of course."

The president and his family are reportedly set to informally discuss the future of his campaign at Camp David on Sunday.
"Any discussion about the campaign is expected to be informal or an afterthought," the person close to the Biden family told NBC. "No one is sitting down for a formal or determinative discussion."

BIDEN DEBATE DEBACLE: 10 EYE-OPENING MEDIA RESPONSES, FROM MSNBC PANIC TO ‘THE VIEW’ CALLING FOR REPLACEMENT
Biden addressed his debate performance at a rally in North Carolina on Friday.
"I know I'm not a young man. I don't walk as easy as I used to. I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to, but I know what I do know — I know how to tell the truth!" Biden told a crowd of supporters.

It is going to be interesting to see what is going to happen in the Democratic convention this year which is scheduled in August, 19 to 22. I don't see how they can replace Biden at this late time they should have done this a year ago when they had a legit chance. The biggest issue to watch for will be what the Far Left do with regards to the War in the Middle East and there Green Agenda issues during the convention. How violent will it get?

Vote for Kennedy or Stein, or don't vote. That's pretty much what inner Wayne county is doing this cycle, talking to people there.

The Muslims / Arabs hate Biden passionately and won't stomach voting for Trump, so a lot of them are just saying voting this time around even after turning out heavy for Biden in 2020. The Caldeans are definitely favoring Trump

Actually Jill Stein the ex-Jew is the most pro Palestine candidate by far. Kennedy has come out for Israel.
I will vote for Biden specifically to vote against Trump. Voting third party or not voting only helps Trump.

This is not a matter of policy, or even mental fitness because I agree with the majority that Biden’s mental fitness is absolutely a concern. This is about aligning against a corrupt narcissist who is a misogynist, racist, and bigot and threatens democracy on several levels. In a more ideal scenario, neither Biden nor Trump are the choices. In the reality we’re in now, third party voting or sitting at home serve no purpose but to give that threat to democracy a better chance to win.
