Trump being on the GOP ticket isn’t a good enough excuse to continue to run Biden as the opponent. If Democrats want to guarantee a victory, they really need to replace him and fast. The other problem with this is we’ve been lied to by our government for at least the past 2 years about Biden’s mental fitness. It was somewhat apparent in 2020 but I’ll be generous and say the last 2 years have been really bad. This doesn’t really instill confidence in our government. Sure, Trump lies but it’s mostly his ego and pretty obvious. The lies that have been told during this administration are on a larger scale as far as being hush hush about a president in mental decline. I’d argue that it’s a national security issue to keep Joe around even now. There are still things he makes the ultimate decision on. Time to swear in Kamala. At least she’s not a total embarrassment in front of the rest of the world.
But to send Biden to the showers in front of Trump would activate an entire new assassination crew onto Trump.
It has absolutely nothing to do with Biden. This is, always was and always will be about Trump the minute he made President. And Trump knows it and knows everybody in this country knows he knows it. That fact is what inspires that old man. He won and he was not permitted to win, but forbidden to do so. It's a White man thing. I've been there, sure, not anywhere near this level, but I've been there and the resentment after "my" accomplishment(s) was palpable.
We've all be there. It's a grand feeling, and can be dangerous because then, yes, you're marked as Trump has been marked now for 8 years. But is it worth it? You couldn't drag me, or, that old man away.
You're not looking at this right, tbh. The only thing that guarantees a Dem victory is Dennison, not Joe. At the end of the day, Joe is old, decrepit and a known quan y. ie: Kamala would be a substantially worse candidate going into an election.

President Biden is facing criticism from Gold Star families after falsely claiming during Thursday's CNN Presidential Debate that he's the "only president this century, this decade, that doesn't have any troops dying anywhere in the world."
Biden, after denying that 13 American service members were lost in Afghanistan, also said during the debate that "when he [Trump] was president, they were still killing people in Afghanistan. And he didn't do anything about that."
Darin Hoover, Gold Star father of Staff Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover who was one of those 13 American service members killed in action on August 26, 2021, in Kabul, Afghanistan, had a strong reaction to Biden's debate claims.
The younger Hoover, 31, was engaged to be married when he was killed. It was his third tour in Afghanistan.

"I knew Afghanistan was going to come up sooner or later," said Hoover in an interview with Fox News Digital, recalling the debate.
"You know, the stumbling, bumbling buffoon that we have in the White House had the audacity to say that under his watch that no military members have died."
In a statement to Fox News Digital after the initial publication of this story, a White House spokesperson said, "President Biden cares deeply about our service members, their families, and the immense sacrifices they have made. That’s why the President attended the dignified transfer of the 13 brave service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan on August 26, 2021; as well as, of the three who lost their lives in Jordan earlier this year."
"As he said then and continues to believe now: Our country owes them a great deal of gra ude and a debt that we can never repay, and we will continue to honor their ultimate sacrifice," the spokesperson added.

The Gold Star dad added, "the rage, the absolute disgust that I got, from hearing him say that--I started yelling back at the TV. Just out of frustration. He's never acknowledged, not one time, any of our kids. He's never said their names. Even to this day, I doubt very seriously that he even knows their names."

Hoover said the Biden administration sent the 13 Afghanistan Gold Star families letters – a year later.
"All the 13 families get a canned letter. It said the same exact same thing. And it looked like it was a photocopy of all of that. It was basically, we're sorry that your service member had died, and that's been it. We've had absolutely nothing before, nothing since," Hoover added.

Hoover has made efforts to meet with Biden on behalf of the 13 lost on August 26, 2021. He said, "as much as we tried it in the past, when we've been going before Congress to try and get a meeting, it's been denied because he's a chicken."

"President Biden has repeatedly and rightfully described the stakes in this November’s presidential election as nothing less than the future of American democracy," the editorial board began Friday.
"Mr. Biden has said that he is the candidate with the best chance of taking on this threat of tyranny and defeating it. His argument rests largely on the fact that he beat Mr. Trump in 2020. That is no longer a sufficient rationale for why Mr. Biden should be the Democratic nominee this year."

Under his leadership, the nation has prospered and begun to address a range of long-term challenges, and the wounds ripped open by Mr. Trump have begun to heal. "It should be remembered that Mr. Biden challenged Mr. Trump to this verbal duel. He set the rules, and he insisted on a date months earlier than any previous general election debate. He understood that he needed to address longstanding public concerns about his mental acuity and that he needed to do so as soon as possible. The truth Mr. Biden needs to confront now is that he failed his own test," the editorial board wrote.

"It's a mess," a person familiar with the president's mood after the debate told NBC News.
The outlet reported several prominent Democrats expressed concern in private over Biden's chances of beating Donald Trump in November following his debate performance. However, they remain steadfast in their support for Biden in public.
"The only person who has ultimate influence with him is the first lady," another person told the outlet. "If she decides there should be a change of course, there will be a change of course."

The president and his family are reportedly set to informally discuss the future of his campaign at Camp David on Sunday.
"Any discussion about the campaign is expected to be informal or an afterthought," the person close to the Biden family told NBC. "No one is sitting down for a formal or determinative discussion."

I don't see how they can replace Biden at this late time they should have done this a year ago when they had a legit chance. This is not a matter of policy, or even mental fitness because I agree with the majority that Biden’s mental fitness is absolutely a concern. This is about aligning against a corrupt narcissist who is a misogynist, racist, and bigot and threatens democracy on several levels. In a more ideal scenario, neither Biden nor Trump are the choices. In the reality we’re in now, third party voting or sitting at home serve no purpose but to give that threat to democracy a better chance to win.
