Can you bring me up to speed on what happened with us in the second round? I didnt tune in and I really don’t understand what happened.
There was reports that the Spurs didn't want to select someone at the top of the 2nd who wouldn't accept a 2-way (for comparison, for other purposes I had looked up last year's second round, and the top 10 picks of Round 2 all signed guaranteed deals, save for one who did not come over from overseas). When the Spurs pick came around, then traded down with Indiana (for cash) and then took Nunez, who is likely to be a draft-and-forever-stash. Basically, the Spurs punted so they could avoid a $1.6MM roster spot.

Even trading this for future SRPs would have been better and indeed, there were lots of trades all around us where teams got a better return than just cash for the FO to have a nice steak dinner.

I dunno about Max Christie. LAL fans are excited and some say he was misused by Ham, but he just seems like a young guy who isn't very good yet. It's not very much though. Having a player of promise on that roster is a good thing considering their other moves lately.

Surprised Toppin got that much, Pacers getting close to a tax team
Toppin for about MLE is a bargain. Patrick Williams getting $90 million was the shocking deal.

This is what Mike Finger said directly after we traded #8. How quickly will him, McDonald, and company change their tune if we do nothing?
Also, I have this tweet bookmarked specifically so I can follow up on it later when nothing happens

I’d take CP3 but you have to think he wants to go to an actual contender

Nice one... going to bookmark this one too. I'm sure McDonald will go on some diatribe about how adding Castle and some other nobody veteran doesn't count as running it back and we're all stupid.

That leaves about $20 Million the Clippers could take back in a George sign-and-trade, thus highlighting that it's basically impossible for him to go to any team other than Philly, Orlando (Detroit technically) and LAC.

Harden deal is a player option year 2. Fascinating how Harden has essentially turned into a guy on very expensive one-year deals.

Once again, we badly need Clips to remain compe ive. We cannot let OKC get one of their final chances at a great draft pick for a while.

Bro, the Spurs have Wemby. They don't have to be looking over at other teams hoping they don't get good players. They just need to keep their own house.
