1. Lavine could waive his trade kicker
2. Didn't he play under pop at the Olympic? Maybe I'm wrong but Pop might have experienced the 'good Lavine'
3. I don't love it, but getting protection off 25 went maybe another 1st or swap ...

Desperation is a stinky cologne.
S bag franchise. They gonna go after Bridges too?![]()
With the trade kicker going into effect, Zach would be making 49.4 52.8 and 56.3
They’d have to give multiple picks and take Zach Collins before I’d even think about it.
Agree. And he fits in the SL and he will be trade able based on the money SA has when/if they want to move on. You can sign good players with cap space and trade them. It’s fine to do that.
For $150 million. It's times like these I realize why people are broke and busted.
They could salary dump Keldon and get into stupid money territory for him
Did NBA TV just leave Vassell off the Spurs depth chart?
Keldon + Collins for Lavine if CHI lowers protections from 10, 8, 8 to 2, 2, 2. Spurs still retain tons of cap space in that scenario.
He would be the Spurs second best player immediately. And you could get rid of any trash you want like graham’s contract and Zollins to lessen the cap hit.
Also, weren't the Spurs rumored to be going after Lavine before his last signing? I think he was wanted to pair with Dejounte, then after Lavine re-upped I think is when Dejounte was moved. (could be been a year in between)
I don’t understand Westbrook opting in if he wants to play elsewhere. So for 2M dollars you risk being traded somewhere you dont want vs choosing your destination?
B.Wrong LOVES getting more picks, he just hates picking.
Give B.Wrong an unprotected 25 Chicago pick he can trade for 2032 pick, and he might burn that $150 million to do it
:
People don't appreciate how different the front office meta could be under this new CBA. Second-apron teams cannot aggregate or take back more money than they send out. So huge, guaranteeable contracts are going to be more useful than they were under the previous meta. Not only is the cap about to hit the upramp, but the ability to match star salary with one player is a big deal. Don't count out certain teams seeing the opportunity of having Lavine's deal as they move toward the aprons.
Come on, it would have to include a 2033 protected pick swap as well!
Ah yes, the casual hate for Zach (and any Spur flavor of the month for that matter) blinding commonssense. It’s not about Zach so much as the Bucks having 1) to cut money, and 2) little ways to inject youth into their roster. That has value to these capped out teams, which should be ruthlessly exploited, as in here by the spurs 1) by moving off a bad deal, and 2) picking up a small asset.
do free agents not take visits anymore.......... jason terry visited the spurs facility.........
good pickup for Orlando.
Nuggets have more of a depth issue now.
Well it most certainly is not, because year in and year out they do way less trades, free agent signing, and win fewer games, than all of those teams other than Detriot, and at least Detriot has some actual nba talent on their roster, unlike the Spurs.
Bickerstaff will get COY consideration when he has the Pistons around .500 this year.
Bickerstaff next in line after Monty to win 100mil lottery just by sitting on his ass at home. Detroit beyond a joke.
