They took two second round guys instead of one lottery pick. Make it make sense.
I like harrison ingram,But man he looked bad.But so did the whole team. Was thinking they would for sure take a shooter like spencer
still on the board. They chose ingram instead.More players who struggle shooting. But i guess it was only one game.

especially when under 20p is considered a failure and under 15 is considered a goose egg.

Bro what?? This guy is better than advertised. There was doubt of whether he could run the point? is nailing corner passes and off-the-dribble pull-up 3's in his first in game![]()
And wearing number 5 too...... I like this![]()
Bro you voted Risacher over this guy.I hope Castle shows everyone soon that he’s in a completely different tier than Risacher— something I’ve been saying all along about how nobody should pick a player with no handle, no shot creation skills over other archetypes.
That pull up 3 and the spin move drive and 1
dude is a natural great
Wemby is gonna love Castle
But I will say there was one shot attempt where Castle basically had to iirc pull up shot clock winding down and he shot it across his body kinda and man that shot was off. Off mark, off arc off everything. Like a wounded duck
There's going to be some rawness for sure but I think Castle will learn fast and shock people with exceeding expectations his first season.
Why do you think he would want LA if he were to leave? He’s not American, and didn’t grow up with the Hollywood mythos. At this point, the Buss family has nearly transformed the Lakers into a poverty franchise. If LeBron hadn’t wanted movies and an entertainment career next, they’d be in their second decade of irrelevance.
If he were to ever leave, I would expect it to be for a more cosmopolitan city like NY or Toronto. The last place I would expect him to go would be a sprawl city like LA or HOU.
Yeah, I was really interested in the "3&D" potential of Risacher for the team, but I think I had Castle second? In any case, Castle showing up to be better than the #1 pick would be fantastic.
Fully rooting for the kid, these highlights were just amazing. Much better handle & shot than advertised, and given that was his main weakness as a draftee...... sheesh!
SL is a worse product than the gleague.
Really enjoyed what i saw out of Castle. I have been a skeptic about him being a full time point guard but at least in summer league he looked the part
No, the agenda pushers have inevitably decided that because Castle was the only draft pick on the team who looked vaguely familiar with playing basketball, that means he's destined for supers om.
Of course, had he looked as clueless as the others, it wouldn't have been acceptable to read into though.
I have no watched the game but is 3/9 from the field concerning for Castle?
No. He rimmed out a couple of chip shots. He looks legit. And his jumpshot looks good.
The 3s he made hit nothing but net and hit the bottom of the net quickly. Houston messed up letting the Spurs get Castle. They will regret it.
that is exactly what people were talking about when they were saying he couldn’t show everything in college cause he had to play a role. He‘s by far the most complete player in the draft. There should be zero doubt that he can become an efficient 3-point shooter.
I think Reed and Castle are both gonna be good. I'd have been excited about either. But, yeah, Castle looks like the real deal.
I think there’s a very good chance the rockets would have taken Castle over Reed if they didn’t have Amen who is very similar. But I agree both will be good.
Jalen Green looked like an all star in summer league. Pump the brakes.
SL is weird. I remember Tony Parker looking so good after like two games in the 01 summer league that Seattle tried to trade Gary Payton to the Spurs for him. Then Stephen Jackson had a huge summer league in 02 and it carried right over into the season and he had taken Steve Smith's starting role within about 15-20 games. Though Duncan had a terrible summer league in 98 and got wrecked by Greg Ostertag in his first game there.
Castle looked good. Unfortunately the "best of" only show passes that resulted in a make, aka an assist. He makes good passes that people just don't convert, those aren't shown. Same with shots. A good looking release, great rotation but just misses off the rim isn't shown. You have to watch the game to see these.
ive never enjoyed summer league more than the kyle anderson and jonathon simmons show
Wemby's SL game against Portland is easily my favorite.
