Ingram is like a poor man's version of the idealized combo forward archetype in today's NBA. In order for him to make it in the NBA, he will have to improve in all areas of his game. If he doesn't, he would've been better off staying at Stanford, getting his degree, and leveraging his educational pedigree in corporate America.
In order to make it in the NBA as a second round pick, you usually have to have a niche, some skill you're elite at (a specialist, in other words), and develop the rest of your game from there. A poor man's generalist like Ingram will have a major uphill climb going forward.
