Massalski is consistently in on good runs for this team. 14 minutes and he's +20 with 6 boards and 4 assists.
As far as the "also rans" go he's showing out.
Loving some of what Ingram is showing tonight

could be an illusion due to compe ion level, but cant help but be impressed with Castle's calm handles. never seems flustered by pressure, doesnt panic. comfortable one handed live dribble passes, etc
he's a buttershot
Castle bullies his way to the basket and draws a foul.
Can Castle make guys pay for sagging off in the big league? Will he be good enough to be a true lead creator and create for himself/others as the main guy with the ball? No doubt he has high end connector ability but does he have lead offensive ability? Time will tell but I still really like what Im seeing
Massalski may not be an NBA player but he’s been terrific today.
He certainly looks better across the board tonight. He's taking his open shots tonight and has finally answered the call for more rebounding.
Already a double double with a few minutes still yet to play.
Three stars of the game:
Castle, Ingram, Massalski
Not the most efficient night for Castle but he shoulders so much out there and 18/5/6 game is a solid outing
Hats off to this China team man they got some real compe ors out there
What’s incredible to me is that his tape looks identical today to every level of compe ion he has competed in so far. Just looks a cut above everybody else. Rare and extremely promising.
Among other things, looks like he's not confident in his shot at all.
China always gives a "Player of the Game" honor to a member of the opposing team.
Castle seems the clear choice
I don't think I've seen anyone take the ball off him. He is a bit slow, like getting out of the backcourt. Need him to get going faster.
Hey, we won a game.
I like this a whole lot better than losing by 25 or 30
2 games played for Castle and only 2 TOs during SL with this roster is impressive.
He couldn't shoot before he was drafted. What makes you think he could magically learn to shoot now?
Stat keeper is garbage for these games. Castle had 3 TO's.
Game one:
Shuffled his feet and called for a TO
Game two:
Hesitated and moved his feet when China pressed
Went to toss a lob and lost control, throwing it out of bounds
Congrats Coach Trevino for finally winning a game.
Cissoko & Ingram stating in interviews that Castle actually shoots very well tells us that it's more of a mental block than an ability issue.
Am I wrong or did Castle get an 8 sec violation one of these games too? I could be misremembering that been a long day.
They are just saying what they need to say. He can't shoot. I think it was spurraider that posted a shooting comparison among several players and he was absolutely atrocious. This was known before he was ever drafted. He's going to have to figure out a way to fix it. It will be the difference between him becoming a major piece or just a pretty good one.
If Castle could shoot reliably then he would have gone #1 in the draft and would be helping Atlanta devalue our next 3 first round picks.
His poor shooting was the cost of being able to acquire him. That part of his game is obviously a work in process, but his point guard skills are much better than advertised. I like his chances.
I don't want to make it sound like I hate him as a player. I really do like a lot of what he brings. But we have to be honest, he has to learn to shoot. Otherwise he will be a liability at a point in the game where you need him to knock down a shot.
