Yes, Bronny's salary is covered by the increased revenue he will bring. People cannot turn away from a dumpster fire. However it does cheapen even more the concept of compe ion there. They either buy rings or they buy views through gimmicks. Imagine calling yourself a fan of that.
...you couldn't drag me away, Lue.

Because you said (that). I'm embarrassed for ya.

I ain't offended by LeBron getting this. Nor his son getting preferred treatment. They owed James that for garnering that 17th and the tie with Boston. Like I said half the NBA is populated by non-NBA caliber players. Too many teams, not enough qualified players.

His son is well insulated by a father who seems to know what he is doing. That rare in this country, rich, or un-rich. Keep an eye on him though, make sure he doesn't get with the drugs. That never ends. I got sons in their late 30's , early 40's. They know what would happen if they touch drugs, any drug. We thought the middle one was involved at 25. Came to dinner and instead we ambushed him and took him to a testing center. The attendant gave him a cup sent him to the can. "Wait a in' minute." Said I. "I'll go with him." I, I held the cup. I, I brought it back out and handed it over. Thank Christ, it came back negative.

It never ends with your children. Ever.
What does that have to do with anything I said? The lakers are coasting right now and making money, running things as a business. Nothing wrong with it. I’m just pointing it out. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

I am willing to do you a favour because it's you, but you got to be realistic. Lakers are who they are, it's been like that since the Buss children took over. Dr. Jerry Buss isn't walking through that door soon.

No, he isn't. We were extremely fortunate to squeeze 9 & 10 out as Cuban's influence was in effect, but had not taken full affect to the Laker's to that point. We were still living on borrowed, but talent laced time then. Got lucky bringing Fisher back across the Utah border. Stern blessed that. Got lucky bringing Artest on board when he'd FINALLY seen the light after wandering in the dark his entire life. Got lucky as Kobe threw down the game face in the final game and affected the victory. It's still a frightening remembrance seeing him, panicked look on his face, on his countenance abandon his horse and strive for it with everything he had. It was, as a few of Laker's les are...joyless.

We're barren, bereft, kaput. All that remains is the memories of losses and victories, of horrid denial and suspect fulfillment (all I do is go back to the denial at fulfillment.) I lived through it all, and always by myself, which is my preferred way. You can't share victory, nor loss. It's too personal on both ends of that spectrum.

(We're) just bums now, waitin' in line to strike it (lucky).

My parents tried to teach me that "Nothing stays the same, sweetheart. Nothing. You need to learn that, Dale." I agreed of course. Then went to my room and swore I'd make (it) stay.

I'll go to the grave insisting (it) stay.

No love for MVPau? That guy kept his mouth shut and delivered, he will never get the credit he deserves, which is really unfortunate.

He was FIRST to blackball the coach (what's his face? name escapes me now) and then Kobe followed along and blackballed him as well. Assholes.

Bronny was considered a lock for the lottery before his heart attack. That health scare set him back.

He's gonna play for the Defenders all season to get his development on track. I think by next year he should be good to go.

He's not gonna be a great offensive player anyway. He's gonna earn minutes next year from the defensive side of the ball.

I'm more intrigued with Daulton Connect 4 right now anyway. He looks like a 15-20 minute per game player already IMO.

Lock only because of Lebron, not because Bronny tore it up in NCAA. I laugh when I read someone say Bronny is in a temporary slump. No he's not, he never played any better than he's playing now and he's what, 26% from the floor? He'll earn minutes when Lebron wants him on the floor. I wish him well, but he's trying to appease his dad.

the kid is only good at playing video games. Heart problems, or not, this guy does not belong on a basketball court, not NBA, not Europe and not college... He's in the league just cause of his daddy and he gonna be out of it, as soon as daddy's gone.

    They trade AD for Luka.
The problem remains...Luka was exposed in the playoffs last season. If they eat him alive again this off season then it's all understood what has transpired.

But AD is no picnic, instead a PIA.

This trade is quaint, but nothing to write home about.

He could not function to the line and remain there that is required.

Technically, this is not a scam. Let's count rings.

    AD: 1
    Luka: 0

He couldn't compete to the line that is required to ring and remain there at that line in order to achieve said le. He was exposed to be a pretender, a good time Charlie, but not able to deal at the level of le.

I see. That seems pretty harsh and a bit strange. Not everyone wins a le the first time around, doesn't make them pretenders.
