Remember this 2022 red wave dream sequence you had?
If Harris doesnt pick Shapiro,,,she's an even bigger idiot than I thought,,,,,he is very well liked in a crucial swing state,,,,
did Trump pick Vance simply because Peter Thiel and Don Jr told him to?
Vance was disappointed the liberal elite did not praise the movie version of his book

Winester, workin' like a mother er.
it really is a choice between democratic pluralism and herrenvolk democracy.
linkThe national conservative moment that Vance belongs to rejects the belief that the United States is a nation built on fealty to a set of ideas (a liberal notion articulated by Joe Biden in his speech on Wednesday announcing he won’t run for reelection).
Blood-and-soil nationalism sees American iden y as a matter of inheritance from the core demographic group that allegedly built the country (white people). In this view of history, these are the people who are real Americans, who hold the country together. Others, whether they be Black Americans or immigrants, are more provisionally American, allowed citizenship conditioned on good behavior. By this logic, Vance’s wife (the child of South Asian immigrants) and his own children (biracial by American racial taxonomy) can be folded into the protection of white iden y thanks to Vance’s own vaunted hillbilly roots and status as patriarch. This explains why Vance’s pro-natalism plays hand in hand with his anti-immigrant politics.
As Melissa Gira Grant noted in The New Republic, “For J.D. Vance, real Americans procreate, and only ‘real’ Americans ought to procreate. This pro-natalist, nationalist belief has long been out in the open, part of Vance’s political grievances and his persona.”
For Vance, then, pro-natalism serves as a useful political rope that allows him to tie together disparate political projects: the religious right’s desire for a renewed patriarchy, Silicon Valley’s quest for a younger work force (and in the case of Peter Thiel, fresh blood), and the ethnonationalist’s quest for an assertion of a white American Volk iden y.
How they polled vs Biden before he withdrew

Run, Winester, run, you -knockin' SOB, you.
lol @ you suggesting Buttigieg's main qualification was being gay
LOL Whinehole ducking and dodging.
what did I duck? I answered you straight off. my take hasn't changed.
I notice you declied to answer a direct question, CC.
Was that an oversight?
And running like an antelope.
This was the question you ducked and dodged:
And yes, I think DEI had a lot to do with it. the male gay cabinet member checked a box just like "my vice president will be a black female" checked another box.
CC, the voice of reason & moderation in troubled times.

JD is an affirmative action hire.
I replied to the bolded, I don't think Buttigieg being gay had as much to do with getting appointed as being a man with a professional self-presentation who's young, reasonably good looking and looks good in front of a camera.
If we're talking DEI , I think the male box is politically more significant than the gay one. I think maybe the McKinsey box is more pertinent too.
I've been saying for a long time Whitmer is most electable, but she wants to run in 2028 and serve out her last term in MI I guess
That graph is not good for Kamala... at all.
