Update on '26 WR Mike Brown of Spring Legacy who visited campus recently (247):
"It went really well," Brown told Horns247. "There were no arguments. They had a great practice. Even Coach Sark was telling my parents that isn't it so cool they can practice without coaches. They had no arguments or fights at all."
"I was definitely watching the wide receivers the whole time. I was watching Johntay Cook and Isaiah Bond. They're pretty good. They run routes well, pretty smooth."
"It was really, like, very exciting for me because Texas is definitely a top five school," he said. "Talking to my parents, I was very stoked about it. It was just an amazing day that day."
"He (Brown's father, who played for A&M) actually doesn't even care about the A&M and UT rivalry," Brown said laughing. "But he's just going to be there for me wherever I go."
"Top five," he said of where UT stands. "It's not really an order. They're there."
"It (commitment of Dia Bell) definitely puts Texas higher," Brown said. "Because I know there's someone that can throw me the ball and get me there."
"I like how he's (Coach Jackson) a people person and really tries to build a relationship with my parents and family," Brown said. "We have deep conversations. He's pretty cool."

Hamilton at OTF mentioned in the past he didn't believe Georgia would land both OL Nick Brooks and OL Juan Gaston, Jr.
Gaston, Jr. committed to Georgia today, so we'll see if that gives Texas a little more momentum with Brooks now.

Hamilton posted this morning that Texas jumped out to a big lead for Brooks after his official visit to campus in June.
Per OTF, they expect DT DJ Sanders of Bellville to follow through with a commitment this upcoming Thursday, August 8th.
They now believe it's Michigan vs. Texas, but A&M isn't out.
He has been in constant communication with Sark, Coach Baker and Coach Gideon.
