The spurs have15 guaranteed contracts, plus a couple of others already signed. I don’t think they’re still shopping.

There could still be a trade coming preferably to fill the PF position

Barnes is the starter, and Mamu the backup.

Are you seeing Sochan as SF?

Certainly defensively. Barnes is a bit long in the tooth to check guards and wings.

I'm surprised he hasn't signed with a team still. he is a solid 3&D player.

He definitely needs to prove that his 3 point % last season wasn't a fluke and that it can stay the same with a slight increase in attempts

He’s in a tough spot because Cavs are $10 mil below the tax, so paying him anything approaching MLE money makes them a taxpaying team. Their future cap situation looks bleak with the Mobley and Mitc extensions.

On the other hand he’s restricted and teams no longer have a lot of cap space to offer.

i really like Mobley but he's exactly the caliber of player who i thought would no longer be given max contracts under the new cba

As long as there is a such thing as a max contract, there will be players who get one and don't deserve it.
