Now we'll never truly know what trauma happened with Toronto and TD21. It was a fascinating fixation, among others, like the intense Anti-racism that led to a complete defense of Brian Wright, yet somehow a complete hatred of the Toronto GM. A combination of insight and yet utter blindness in other areas rarely seen.

Hopefully someone in Toronto can launch a paper boat into the Great Lake and set it afire for a proper Viking funeral.

After 15 years, seeing many come and go and some wondering whatever happened to them, I figured I'd make a "retirement" thread so there is no confusion.

I'd have left sooner, but lucking into Wembanyama, some health issues and my aversion to change/force of habit conspired to lead to inertia.

I used to enjoy the debates, but it's become exceedingly difficult to have a discussion without someone with an axe to grind taking it the wrong way, throwing a fit and/or getting off topic while they awkwardly dance around questioning whether I'm on the spectrum and their ignorance in relation to what that means.

I'm not wasting time repeatedly explaining myself anymore.

Props to those who were civil to me, as I tried to be to you.

I was out for a few years. The thrill had gone, especially during the Kawhi debacle.

It's back now, though I purposely try to limit myself because the back-and-forth itself - even if you're really not arguing anything much - can be addictive of itself, obviously. People will be people, can't let em get to you.

As for your health, I think it's important to always focus on your physical and mental well-being. Things like social media can be and usually are terrible for your health.
