It is becoming more and more difficult to talk politics with family and friends who are Republicans. Their views are increasingly untethered to reality. “Donald Trump will fix our democracy” is their answer to every question.
The Republican Party has become a strange sort of negative cult. A cult of opposition. A cult with no content.
Republicans have no goal other than defending Trump. They are for Trump, and nothing else.
