I knew he was going to Texas and that "Louisiana State" still scared me.
Quotes from WR Jaime Ffrench after committing to Texas (On3):
“There were a lot of challenges with LSU and Miami at different times, but since my first visit to Texas, they have been on top,” Ffrench told On3. “That visit I took in spring put Texas on top and they just stayed the course."
“LSU and Miami were in the way, but Texas just kept doing what they do and building on the relationships with me and my family. I am a relationships guy, and how they connected with me and my family 110% percent played a big role in my decision.”
“When I took my official visits on June 22, I knew for sure. I made my decision on that visit. On my next visit with the coaches, I told them of my decision, then held it until my mom’s birthday.”
“I am 100% done. I am closing my recruitment out and enrolling at Texas in January.”
“It is about family there,” Ffrench said. “It is very family-oriented at Texas and they did a great job connecting with my family even more than they did with me. That meant a lot and it showed me a lot."
“My bond with the staff, the commits like Kaliq Lockett and KJ Lacey are different from any other. It is second to none for me when it comes to chemistry with guys at Texas.”
“Me and coach Jackson have that tight bond. Since January, we have connected and really gotten close. I like him as a coach, I know he is happy at Texas and I love when he is about with his NFL experience.”
“Coach Sark has a great offensive mind,” Ffrench said. “He is creative, he spreads the ball out and he knows how to get the ball to his playmakers at the receiver position. He knows his players, he knows how to use them, he mixes in the air raid and he knows what to do with guys in his system to make them successful."
“Texas is a legendary program and we are building a legendary team under coach Sark. It is a great program and coach Sark is doing big things. Texas will win a national championship under coach Sark.”

IT was at Aledo this week and they mentioned that Texas is still in contact with '26 RB Raycine Guillory, Jr., but he's hearing more from other schools right now.

IT is the site that mentioned CB Gianni Edwards of North Forney, and I haven't read anything about Texas being interested in him until today.
They say he is one to watch going forward.
Blast from the past for those who have been here a long time...Edwards is the younger brother of former 2012 #1 recruit in the country Mario Edwards, Jr. from Denton Ryan who went on to play at Florida State.

IT reporting things between Texas and LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng of IMG Academy are heating up.
A fellow reporter they know, who covers Florida recruiting, was at the school yesterday.
He said Owusu-Boateng didn't mention Texas much before, but now is talking about Texas unsolicited and even pointed out that's the only official visit he has set for the fall.
He took official visits to Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC during the summer.
