I talked to a man who owns an apt complex and he said he did the math. He said he would need to raise the rent by 10% to pay the tax.
This is based on a 3.8% gain. This tax would kill any opportunity to build wealth. "Buy assets that appreciate" and then sell them to pay the tax.
A no-win situation for the people. But that's the Democrat way.
