So about geese:

1) The Haitian people in Ohio tend to have jobs, so there's no reason for them to hunt geese.

2) Geese are extremely common animals and are actually considered to be nuisance animals in many areas. The white-knighting about them is ridiculous. Like tell me you've never lived near geese without telling me. It would be like ing a person killed a squirrel.

So yeah, it's not unlikely at all that in a Midwest Gothic town like Springfield OH that someone would realize that that annoying pest bird is actually a feast and kill one. But it's much more likely that it would be one of the poor native folks than the Haitian folks who are already under heavy scrutiny, have gainful employment and community and who legit fear that being sent back home right now would be a death sentence. Maybe someone was so high on fentanyl that they don't remember doing it.

So it appears the whole Haitians eating pets thing stemmed from: a US born woman having a psychotic break being arrested for abusing/eating a cat and a photo snapped of some random guy who isn't even verified to be a Haitian immigrant holding a goose. everything else I can find is just people echoing the same nonsense like "I have a friend near Springfield whose friends husband is a deputy and they told me it's true!"

I think about that first line a lot actually. Harris isn't the president, but I do see a tendency from her as well to try to not claim any responsibility for the bad things that happen. Trump's unwillingness to live up to his office should be obvious though. I don't get why that doesn't matter to so many people. We have an invasive species called the Egyptian Geese that needs to be culled. They are causing problems.
