While it is not as much of an issue in Week 2, a team winning can affect how another team plays on Fri Sat or Sun. Even if it's only .0000001 percent.
Players are human. If in the back of their psyche they are saying, "Phuck, this team is now 2-0 we better keep up". Or the other way around. "Hey we are 6-0 now and the rest of the division is 3-3. We can afford a loss." They may never say that out loud but again, they are human.

Let's say you are an NFL star. It's Thursday night and a couple of the boys take you to a house party. It is loaded with Texas A&M babes as well as all kinds of other Hooters waitresses, Longhorn cheerleaders and other tail.
