I don't think Joey B is healthy.
Regardless of what he says.
Are you (or your computer) colorblind?
Neither was GOAT Mahomes in 2 out of 3 Super Bowl's but he didn't let it bother him or his team.
No i thought your Rainbow celebration could be extended even further.
Mahomes willing the refs to not call Aaron Donalds super obvious lined up offsides to deny Super Joe Burrow a chance to close the win was GOAT epic Mahomes for sure.
what the kind of argument is this? Mahomes and the Chiefs had nothing to do with that game. They were knocked out in the last game. Why does it matter if a conference opponent wins the Super Bowl to him or not? That's one of the dumbest arguments I've ever seen written. If anything, if you're KC you want Cincinnati to win there to justify that you were the real second place team and not the Rams because at least you took Cinci to OT, had a big lead over them etc.
Such an easy call.
Tua is one concussion from Chris Benoit
He needs to be medically retired tbh.
Hold your stinking horses, week 2 just started and the Jets had to play @ the 49ers, probably their hardest game of the season, in week 1. Rodgers' first game with all these new wideouts except Lazard. I'm still picking the Jets.
Yeah, Tua is done and Miami needs to go back into tanking mode. They already lost half their roster to FA and just paid Ramsey way too much to be the top paid CB for five more years on top of it, so they have a good excuse to tank this time.
The offensive line has looked dominant for Buffalo in the run game the first 2 games, but Miami's defensive line is a s of its last year's self considering it was gutted in free agency, and Arizona is Arizona. They have one more winnable game vs Jax and then they have back to back at Baltimore and at Houston, I don't see them winning either of those two.
But yeah, Tua is dead. It's time to call it a career. Unfortunately Miami just paid him top dollar so if it's football injury they're stuck with the entire dead cap hit. They might as well start tanking now.
In fact I don't see them winning more than one of the Patriots games without Tagovailoa in the lineup.
It won't be up to Tua. I may be wrong, but I don't believe we'll ever see him step on an NFL football field again. Roger Gooddell was there, and the Dolphins have a bad history of managing concussions with this player.
The images of him turning into Verbal Kint after every hit are extremely damaging to the NFL. Violence is an easy sell, but those particular images don't go over well with the viewing public.
Way old reference, but for boxing fans who remember, Ray Boom Boom Mancini was the hottest ticket in town and must-see TV, and his fight against Doo Koo Kim was to this day the most intense match I ever saw (albeit years later after it was fought). When the public found out Kim never woke from his coma and died, Mancini's popularity tanked, and the sport suffered. Even the ref calling the fight killed himself (I think). Watching death or brain damage in real time is not an easy sell to families. NFL has always been violent, even moreso in years past, but after big hits guys would just get knocked out cold and lay motionless. That is easier to watch than somebody posturing from brain trauma.
It's a Tua problem. His body is not that of an NFL player. He stupidly didn't slide once he passed the sticks too. This kid will die on the field one day if allowed to play again and the NFL knows that.
He's done.
I agree with all these points. And Goodell being there at the game just cements this probability even more. At least with RG3 it was mostly the legs that took the punishment and he was spared the brunt of the concussions. This guy Tua has been one serious concussion away from retirement for at least a couple of years. And oddly fitting that it was Damar Hamlin of all people that he could have collided with that quite likely ended his career. Life works in mysterious ways, man.
The thing that will be sticky is the brand new contract for Tua and Miami. If he's not medically cleared and/or reaches an injury settlement, the Dolphins will bear the full extent of his guaranteed money which is a whopping $168M over four years ($42M per year through 2028). Normally, for an extenuating cir stance like this especially when the league is involved in the decision, the league would give the team some kind of compensation in the form of cap relief and potentially an extra premium draft pick... but given that the Dolphins openly, outwardly and flagrantly tanked the 2019 season to get him, I'd say that Goodell and the league are probably looking at the franchise with very little sympathy (even if full sympathy for the player). The team has already recently been docked draft picks for multiple reasons. They might award them something like a bottom-second round comp pick in 2025 and still stick them with the full cap hit, which would crush the team's winning chances for a few years.
I agree with just about all of this except the Dolphins tanking in 2019. They started the year as one of the worst teams I've seen in my lifetime, coming out the gates like 0-7 or some , then finished the year 5-11, winning games in Week 16 and 17 (the latter upsetting the Patriots and costing them the #1 seed). In fact, Finfans to this day hate Flores because he cost them a chance at Burrow with his anti-tanking
The worst part of the Tua thing is that these hits that are getting him knocked out don't even look half bad compared to others.
Heading to Arlington now. Six Flags tomorrow and game on Sunday.
Based, but it's gonna be like 99. Make sure to get a back row seat on an (the helix before the mid course break run gives insane G forces especially in the heat that might make you grey out) and New Texas Giant (RMCs coasters are always best in the back). Also, let me know if Shockwave is back open (the older green looping Schwartzkopf coaster that's easily visible from I-30 but a bit hard to find in the park, it's behind the big red oil derrick) - last time I was there it was April 19th with friends and that back part of the park was shut down due to flooding - the river runs through the park and tends to flood that section near the oil derrick when it rains as it's low-lying.
As for food if you're going in a group i'd recommend getting the all day dining plan it's like $31.99 and you can share and mix and match, get food every 90 minutes, Ma Hunkel's in DC Gotham City still has the good wings on the meal plan, and there's also plenty of other good options like Texas Tacos, philly cheesesteak (if that part of the park is open), Tos o's carne asada tacos, and Chop Six chinese (again, in the flood zone part of the park)... other than that it's the typical amusement park fare (bbq sandwiches, turkey legs, "tenders", hot dogs, burgers, fries, pizza etc).
The Oktoberfest food which starts tomorrow there might also be on the meal plan... I know it is at Fiesta Texas, went last weekend... actually I'd appreciate you if you found out for me on my behalf, actually I'd also appreciate if you asked about that on my behalf (whether it's on the meal plan or not - also the seasonal promo food at both Six Flags Over Texas and Fiesta Texas tend to be some of the best food in the park).

The thing is Tua WAS the consensus #1 overall pick in 2020 and had been for at least two years, and only Burrow's SEC championship victory over Bama + national le + Heisman at the very end of the 2019 NCAAF season + Tua's late-2019 season injury at the end of his Bama career which changed all of that in Burrow's favor. Before that, Burrow wasn't even a consensus top 3 QB in that draft.
"Tank for Tua" was a real thing and Miami had bought into that and planned for that for a very long time. Sure, they won some games down the stretch, but that was mainly after the Tua injury and Burrow's ascent anyway, so it roughly evened out. But the scores from the first few games of the season pointed to blatant tanking.

Also Darth_Pelican if you haven't ridden it before at Six Flags Over Texas the Texas SkyScreamer is 400+ feet tall and a must-ride, you get to see both downtown Dallas and downtown Fort Worth from either direction while swinging that high in the air for about a minute. You actually can see to where the metroplex ends in all directions and city and suburbia gives way to forests and farmland. It's way better than the mediocre version at Six Flags Fiesta Texas which is half as tall and an extremely milquetoast view of the quarry and surrounding woodland and La Cantera suburbia.
Wind is expected to be light tomorrow and no precip so everything *should* be open and operational, not sure if they've re-opened the old woodie (Judge Roy Scream) as that had been under construction for awhile last time I was there with Nick and Bradley/his wife Lexy.
