I'll take both. Not often you have a legit shot at both.
I get that. But I'm not trying to go after the Heisman if it comes down to Quinn not being ready to go. If he has to sit out until the Red River then so be it

I really think Sark can open up a larger playbook with Ewers just due to experience.
Alternatively, the R in RPO really means something with Arch.
Whatever it takes to win every game.

The Heisman stuff would be a nice addition as it would mean we would always get a look from the best quarterback prospects out of high school. Might also mean we could be a real two deep at the quarterback position in the future. Example: Dillion Gabriel had to leave because Jackson Arnold was not going to wait for OU. Imo there is no way Jackson Arnold is more competent than DillionGabriel right now.

'26 RB priority Javian Osborne of Forney talks his visit to Texas for the UTSA game (On3):

“The Longhorns did an awesome job taking care of business Saturday night,” Osborne told On3. “Excitement is not the word I’ll use. I’ll say what continues to make me go down there is just to continue to feel out the campus the team and everyone else.”

“The utilization of the backs,” Osborne said. “Obviously you seen all the backs doing there thing last week but also seeing how they thrive in the offense and seeing the success they are having the playbook is phenomenal. How Coach Sark uses his guys.”

“Now it’s all about being able to see the depth of the room and where can I fit in and make an instant impact but also making those same connections with other schools,” Osborne said.

IT's update this afternoon on QB Quinn Ewers...

"We hear he’s going to be perfectly fine but that doesn’t mean he’ll for sure play this upcoming weak against UL-M. He could miss this week but it would be largely precautionary. Good news, and it jibes with what we heard last night and mentioned on the postgame YouTube show."

Per OTF, the visit for DT Joseph Mbatchou of Loganville, GA went "great" and he is expected to return for the Georgia game next month.

    OK then.

This might turn out to be very stupid on my part, but I don’t get the clock.
    15 minute quarters… uhhhh 2 minute warning? Uhhh…They divided into thirds? 5, 10, 15. Or “quarters” 0,5,10,15
And each little tic mark is uhhhh? 15 seconds… put a zero under the 15 as well? The black part of the pie turns white after the time is less than 2 minutes? Or alternatively, this workout has lasted 13 minutes so far… with 2 minutes left?

    Damn Awkward.
Or I’m just too used to looking at digital clocks…?
Of course I never used a slide rule like my father, but I’m sure they were nifty.

The Arch mania is hilarious after one partial game against lolutsa. But you mix college football fans + that last name + one highlight run and that's what you get.

You never want QB1 to get injured, but this could possibly be the perfect scenario. Arch starts the next game, IF fully healthy, both play a half against Miss St., then you have ou preparing for 2 QBs and with a bye week, they are fully healthy and ready.
As far as the Heisman, I always thought that the winning QB of the Tex/GA game, would come out the favorite. Enough of the season left for Ewers to showcase himself.

With all of the things that go with being a QB its best to stay sober.

But the contrast in athleticism between Arch and ALL OUR other QBs is so apparent it is dizzying.
It’s like his dad and his grandpa athletic. Not his Uncles. Also it’s more than a highlight against UTSA. Some very good athletes on UTs defense see him all the time, along with all the coaches. Sarkisian has told fans to pump the brakes but Sark sees the next few years as very positive. I think Sark would be more vocal about it. He did point out that the middle part of his time against UTSA was not what he wants. I think Sark is somewhat giddy as well. But every week it’s show me.

Finebaum is making $ trying to finger his SEC fanbase with a “Texas will rule” tease. These guys know how to get hits and views. JD Pickles does in depth analysis of praise for almost every large college fanbase that is doing well.

If Ewers is healthy, he's gonna play the full game vs Miss St and OU won't prep for Manning. This year is still all about Ewers.
