been playing Stellar Blade for the last few days. tiddies aside it's actually pretty solid, reminds of DMC/Nier but with some Souls-like elements.
Damn making me want to buy it even though I'm currently playing Infinite Wealth with Rebirth and SMT V Vengeance in my backlog too, plus will buy a month of PC Game Pass next month for Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis probably. Gonna have to hold out until it's $30 or I have finished those three. Same thing for Spiderman 2.
TLOU Part 2 is a masterpiece but you probably missed your chance to get it cheap now that it has that unnecessary PS5 remaster when the PS4 version was already great running 1440p60 on PS5. It's significantly better than the first IMO, which is saying a ing lot because the first game was one of the biggest things that got me to buy a PS4 in 2016 and as soon as I played it I knew the system was worth every penny I paid for it.

Space Marine 2 is pretty badass. Kinda gives shooter from the 2010s vibes, in a good way.

RGG is smart in that they reuse their engine and their assets so they're not reinventing the wheel every game and can keep pumping out quality games like everyone did in the NES through PS3 gens. I don't know why more studios don't. I mean was anyone complaining when GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas came out within a three year span and all played pretty similarly? Did anyone complain about getting Persona 3 and Persona 4 only two years apart? Or Final Fantasy IV and VI only a couple of years apart? Or Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas two years apart? Or Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Elder Scrolls Skyrim five years apart? So stupid that studios want to wait 7-10-15 years to make new games in the same universe as their previous one. RGG is one of the few devs that takes that old-school PS2 gen approach to their release schedule.
Also Yakuza / Like a Dragon is a great series to play as a patient gamer since the games get really cheap within 2-3 years. Play through the old ones while they're cheap to buy and by the time you get to the new ones they'll probably be $5 to $10 too.
Jeez last year XBox was at Tokyo Game Show showing off Like a Dragon Gaiden and Persona 3 Reload as Day 1 XBox Game Pass games. This year? Some 20 year old Katamari game that goes on sale for $5 all the time and some remake of the Mana games that has been out four years? Game Pass is ing dead.
My backlog is out of control but I really want to get Metaphor and Silent Hill 2 Remake. Problem is I know they'll stay in the back log for a while. I guess the smart thing to do is to wait until they're on sale. I rather pay $70 for the 2 in a couple of months instead of $130 for both right now.
Beat Space Marine 2 campaign recently, that was pretty enjoyable.
Playing Star Wars Outlaws now and it kinda sucks. Like the game itself is not....terrible, not that great either, but holy the stealth takedown animations are hilariously bad and the plot so far just seems dumb. I do like the syndicate system and how doing certain things can lower your rep with them vs others but feels like it could be improved upon and it's kinda simplistic. Silent Hill 2 Remake is $0 on the Rune store tbh if you're a PoorC gamer. Methaphor I badly want to buy but with three big JRPG in my backlog (Infinite Wealth, SMT V Vengeance, and FFVII Rebirth) plus really wanting to jump on Dragon Quest VIII sometime soon too as well as the new Persona 3 Reload DLC so it would be moronic for me to buy this full price. So I probably will.
I played the original Silent Hill when i was a kid, never played any of the sequels though. Is Silent Hill 2 worth playing? looks like it has pretty good reviews on Steam so far
after owning the game for 7 years i FINALLY got around to beating Super Mario Bros U Deluxe on the switch. what an annoying game

Wonder is amazing, probably the best 2D Mario since Super Mario World on SNES.
ah gotcha. yeah the acorn plains are definitely the most vanilla of the worlds in U Deluxe but they get better. ing hate the ice world though, that was annoying asFirst world, not the first level

Ok so i got Wonder the other day and have played it a bit. am i missing something or is this game extremely easy? like i'm breezing through all the levels i've played so far. there is no level timer. feels like there are barely any enemies. It's kind of like Super Mario World where you discovered hard missions in the star world by finding hidden exits in the easy levels. The hard levels in Wonder can get pretty difficult.
Finally beat Stellar Blade. 2nd to last boss fight was a and a half though. Really enjoyed it, a lot more to the game than just big s and the story was actually interesting. Definitely gave me Nier Automata vibes
