Try again. This time, without cherry picking. Donald Trump is the only president who has NEVER EARNED MAJORITY JOB APPROVAL. He finished with 34% approval. He has NEVER WON 47% of the national popular vote. He's well-known by now. The insurrection and Roe and the 34 felony convictions and The
indictments for the other crimes he committed didn't help him. Crime and violent crime was up under Donald Trump and down under the Biden Harris administration FBI data shows. Donald Trump became the BORDER CZAR on January 25th. Using harmonized numbers so that we compare apples to apples since different demand in different countries drives inflation, inflation has been lower here than in most other similarly situated G7 nations. The rate of inflation here started falling in June of 2022. It's been falling consistently since then. It's at 2.4% while wages have grown by 4% over the last 12 months. The GDP grew by 3.1% last year better than any year under Donald Trump and by 3.0% last quarter. There have been 15 million jobs created under the Biden Harris administration. Under Donald Trump in 2020, 10 million jobs were lost. Under Donald Trump, there was a NET LOSS OF FOUR MILLION JOBS OVER HIS TERM. The unemployment rate is now 4.1%. The unemployment rate was 6.3% when Donald Trump left office.
Barack Obama turned the economy around. Let's review: George W Bush INHERITED three consecutive budget surpluses and an unemployment rate of 4.2%. Under George W Bush, in the last three months of his second term, the GDP shrank by 9.4% and we lost approximately two million jobs. The unemployment rate was 7.8% and climbing when George W Bush left office. Economics is not magic. Just being sworn in, doesn't change the economy. George W Bush's economic policy of accelerating financial deregulation continued to push the economy down in the first year of President Obama's first term. Under President Obama we experienced the longest continuous period of peacetime private sector job growth that this country has ever known 75 consecutive months of job growth. The unemployment rate was cut from 10.6% to 4.7%. That's the good economy that Donald Trump INHERITED. You don't get credit for what you INHERIT.
You remember the Obama economy. When we found out what value Donald Trump brought to the table when a crisis came, we saw the answer was nothing. Ten million jobs lost. He MINIMIZED COVID. He didn't promote the safety measures recommended by the CDC. President Biden and Vice President Harris told the American people the truth that COVID was a serious threat to their lives and they did promote the safety measures recommended by the CDC including wearing a good mask properly and getting vaccinated. Donald Trump spoke negatively and against wearing a mask far more often than he spoke positively about it. He said that he was not going to wear a mask because the CDC was only recommending it. He did not promote getting vaccinated. The difference in messages from the leaders of the two different major political parties is reflected in the difference in behaviors of members of the two different major parties. By December of 2021 when the vaccines had been available for almost a year, only 61% of Republicans had been vaccinated but 91% of Democrats had been vaccinated. COVID is a respiratory illness. We understand how respiratory illnesses spread very well. The person who has COVID breathes out the virus particles and another person who didn't have it breathes in the virus particles. Wearing a good mask properly prevents both of these events, albeit imperfectly. If you were vaccinated and then you caught COVID afterwards, then your odds of dying from COVID are 53 times less than if you caught COVID but were not vaccinated. Those are the numbers. The numbers are what the numbers are. So, by minimizing COVID, he took away an incentive for doing something that could save their lives. Well, only 1% will die. Several problems with that. One, COVID mutates and becomes much more infectious. Two, time doesn't stand still. The people who caught it and most of the people who caught it and died spread it to somebody else. So, it's going to keep on spreading. And killing some. Three, LONG COVID is a real medical condition. Even if you survived it, it likely damaged your health. Fourth, 1% of 330 million is ... Drum Roll. 3.3 Million. Are you really willing to throw away the lives of 3.3 million people? No responsible leader would do that. Our terrible COVID results are on Donald Trump. If we had the same percentage of COVID deaths as other similarly situated nations in the G7 then we would have lost 400,000 fewer people to COVID. We make up 4% of the world's population but we make up 25% of the world's COVID DEATHS. He made the pandemic much much worse than it had to be.
It's funny that they say 79% of Americans say that you screwed up when her approval ratings are positive and Donald Trump's are terrible. The MAGA people are ALWAYS going to say something negative and their next move is to claim that they were undecided and open to both candidates. Nobody who favors a guy who attempted a coup, was found liable for sexual assault, is under several indictments, is a bigot, and was convicted of 34 felonies is actually undecided. They're just trying to figure out some way to step over the accomplished intelligent Black woman.
Whoever said 79% of the country says that you f***** up is too dumb to be allowed to vote. People believe the country is going in the wrong direction because of Roe being overturned, because of the division and bigotry that Donald Trump embodies and encourages. I'm embarrassed for the idiot who is either so stupid that they actually believe what they wrote or is so dishonest that they don't mind lying. MAGA is going to MAGA. If you still support Donald Trump after he incited an armed insurrection, then you are one lost soul. If you don't understand how Donald Trump's division and bigotry causes people to believe that the country is going in the wrong direction, then you're an absolute bottom of the barrel moron.
