And yet, Pop says all this in one of the states most committed to Trump's cause.

For the Texans on this forum, is there anything specific to San Antonio though? Is the population more likely to vote Democratic than the rest of the state's population?

In the meantime, populism is ahead almost everywhere in the world. If Trump wins, the USA will experience either fascism or a new civil war. In France and everywhere else in Europe (even in Israel which has already given the keys to power to the fascists), we are also on the verge of tipping over (we have even experienced a form of mini coup d'état in France with a president refusing to recognize the winners of the last election and appoint a PM with 5% of the votes; and in Georgia, thanks to good old fraud at the polls, we are moving towards Russia...).

    (Out of bound section anyway...)

Populism isn't the excusivity of Trump or the republicans anymore.

The democrats and Kamala have become masters at it.

The irony and hypocrisy of Pop (and his followers) is hillarious. Do what I say, not what I do lmao

Ha he isnt wrong. Trumps gonna win though and in 4 years, when we’re appeoaching 45 trillion in debt and inflation is just as bad or worse. Just remember since 2001, all the administrations are responsible for adding 35 trillion in 25 years. Anyways, enough politics GO SPURS!

It's not really close between both parties on who spent the most...

Not a fan of his but trump didn't go to war at least. The dems on the other hand are on the verge of starting WW3 but it's the left so they're the good guys...

Death, Taxes, Spurs basketball, and Chaos in the Middle East. To think any party or person is going to stop the Middle East from doing what it’s done for thousands of years is unequivocally stupid.

    Of course.

But I wasn't reffering just to the middle east, both parties have been bought by Israel anyway so US policy won't change much overthere whoever wins.

what the Dems did and are doing with Ukraine/Russia is far more dangerous and Kamala is even more under influance of lobbists than Trump ever was.

Be my guest on who's the scariest. I have no idea

Same mess in every countries, Lobbies are the ones controling our politicians everywhere.

The cities in Texas vote Democratic. We are just a very, very large state with tons of rural areas that swamp out the city votes. But times are a-changing.

I will never understand when people say trump has great policies and plans. Like what did he do? What is his plans for a great economy? I still haven’t heard any type of plan whatsoever. And in his four years the world economy was booming and it was riding off of it.

People love to talk about how how republican policies help grow the economy, fact is he USs share or global GDP went from the low 30s /high 20s (%) to the low 20s during dubyas reign. The bounce back to mid 20s under Obama. Stayed stable with almost no change under trump (+0.4%) and then went up by 2% under Harris. Policy impacts usually don’t take shape until a year to 18 months after a political party took over and these ebbs and flows were consistent to that trend. When the republicans take over the share of global GDP falls a year or so after, and when the dems take over it starts to increase a year or so after. Yet people talked about trump making America great again, when numbers have shown that he did nothing on that front at best, and clearly ripped the country in half politically. It boggles my mind how anyone can support him, it’s comical.

You can say the exact same thing for Harris/Biden only major difference is those two are partly responsible for the Genocide in the Middle East. Just once I would like a reporter to ask him his thoughts on that and also the Russia and Ukraine War.

From a business perspective, he damages the brand because people on the left and right buy tickets and merchandise. I expect more military events to try and balance the effect. This is what the Spurs have done in the past when Pop talks beyond basketball in a basketball setting.

Are you ing re ed? Every time the GOP gets in power they blow up the deficit by giving tax cuts to the rich. Every single time.

The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing R-voters that their party gives a about the deficit or the economy.

Because he's a white supremacist. Same thing this country has used since the beginning to get white people to vote against their own economic self interest. I don't get how hating black people and Mexicans is going to increase my salary, make healthcare more affordable, make education better and cheaper, make my drug prices go down, or any other thing that will make my life any better but as a white man tRUmP bEiNG 4 teH wH1teS hItS mE r1GHt iN teH feElz.

It's because the white moocher class feels like their economic shortcomings are the result of being crowded out by non-whites, instead of the reality that it's because of their lack of skills, education, or basic social skills. Somewhere in Alabama there is a meth-addicted high school drop out with a confederate flag tattooed on his neck thinking that the only thing standing between him and a mid-level management job at a Fortune 500 company is some minority who got the job instead.

They don't think he has great policies. They just think he is racist, and that's enough for them. Looking down on others can be an opiate for feelings of dissatisfaction with self, and utilizing that opiate has been, and always will be, the lifeline of "conservatism." It doesn't matter to the conservative voter that U.S. politicians won't improve his life. What matters to conservative voter is that the politicians provide an "other" for him to hate as a distraction from his own shortcomings.

We will ALL be better off when people start talking about this behavior as it is without sugar-coating.

Government Expenditures as a % of GDP Since 1980:

    Team A President: 21.05%
    Team B President: 20.73%

US Budget Surplus or Deficit (-) as a % of GDP Since 1980:

    Team A President: -3.92%
    Team B President: -3.77%

Fascinating, however, that if you look at the Deficit as a % of GDP since 1980, under every D President, the deficit has shrunk during their term (or turned into a surplus) and under every single R President the deficit has gotten larger.

Believing that the GOP is the party of fiscal conservatism is akin to believing in the easter bunny.
