What did Wemby really do out there tonight? I’m starting to get a little concerned. 7 games in and it’s pretty much the same thing every night
When is Wemby going to punish 6'4 guards in the paint? It's gotten pretty shameful, tbh. He was amazing on defense but we just got cooked because he can't buy a bucket unless his outside shot is stroking or he's getting spoonfed around the rim. It's a good game for most players but Wemby could've done so much better.

I agree. Not able to beat 270 pounds guys down low, okay I understand but not able to beat guards a foot smaller than him, that's hard.

We had a stretch early in the 4th when we were still up 4 and Wemby had like 3-4 good consecutive defensive possessions (blocks, deflections, steals, etc) but failed to convert anything on the fastbreaks including errors from CP3.
I think teams have figured out that you can even put a guard on Wemby and he can't really punish them in the post.
Wemby' offense is utter trash now. Timmy needs to teach him how to play on the inside. He wants to play like a bigger KD? Then learn to shoot. Terrible offensive game for him. Amazing defense but god awful offense. That's why we're top 3 in defense and bottom 3 in offense. He needs to evolve and fast.
I'm wondering if you just did. Victor has been refusing to attack in the post even with Harden switched onto him. Dude's offensive rating is 102 this season, he is in an enormous sop re slump and has been playing like an ass offensively this season.
16 offensive rebounds for the Clippers, at least half because of Spurs half-assing it and leaking out early.
Wemby's Antoine Walker 2.0 arc needs to stop.

Keldon's defense is back to putrid.
CP3 is too old for heavy minutes.

This team is so strange. You've got centers guarding guards on our team and not being punished, and guards guarding our center and not being punished, either. For the umpteenth time, where the is the coaching??
Nah, Keldon and Malaki are who they are. Many of those breakdowns came on their watch.
so far we only beat the Jazz and two teams that were on a b2b ...

Knew this game was over when CP his pants when Wemby was wide open in the paint early in the 4th. He just choked, and the entire offense suffered because of it. Got no good looks the entire 4th quarter and the defense by Keldon and the rest of these scrubs was ing trash.
You can't win games when you have huge leads in the 3rd and the backup big comes in and it just disappears. Can't wait till that useless Zollins is gone. Ty Lue out coached our guy by staggering the 2nd and 3rd qtr minutes so Zubac faced Zollins and not Wemby.
It's as if last season didn't happen.
On offense he looks like a rookie
Wasted Castle's "breakout" game on the offense tbh. Not having Sochan really hurt the 2nd unit as he would usually be the only starter playing with them.
The offense is virtually the same as last year. Wemby still can't put the ball on the floor against guards and isn't big enough to back the beefy ones down yet.
Everywhere else on offense he's a presence, and that wasn't different tonight.
Not to mention the god tier defense, but boohoo the big shot 10 threes I'm gonna my pants? ing old bas s go join pop in the nursing home
This is why an established go to move in the post is so critical for Wemby.
when shots aren’t falling, when the team is bleeding and you just need something, you go to the move.
for Timmy it was 4 down, for Manu it was hold the ball like a football and attack the paint, for Parker it was the floater.
there was 100 mismatches in the low post on Wemby throughout the game and yet he only took advantage like 2 or 3 times. That needs to change.
no matter how special he wants to be from the perimeter, you can’t have a step back 3 pointer be your go to move when the game is on the line or when the team is in a desperate need of points
Our 3pt defence is the the biggest issue - letting the Clippers shoot 19 of 37 is disgusting
Buddy is pulling an early on Dirk ( letting smalls guard him ); time to use that footwork and size in the post. Wemby has to choose better shots, way to many threes.

Wemby's defense was ridiculous, he was everywhere.
His offense was trash, but that's where others should've come in.
If your center has 12 stocks and 22/13, the loss can't be just on him.

Except he did last year starting January or so. Now he's regressed back to jacking up threes thinking he's Kevin Durant. Unless he's hurt I don't get it at all. A 102.7 offensive rating is horrendous.
Really missed Sochan tonight. It’s not all on his absence by any means, but that didn’t help the cause
It's frustrating because he has moments where he decides quickly (turnaround jumper, turnaround into baby hook) but then you get a lot of dribble dribble into turnovers in the same game. Or the horrendous 3 pt shooting
