Pop is 75, not 80 btb.
Yep I’m just saying my grandparents were already physically and mentally deteriorating before the age of 80. Just shows that Pop took care of himself better.

Him jacking off microphones kind of doesn’t jive with your statement.

He’s clearly slipped as much as Biden has.
Not even close Biden can barely walk and can barely read the prompter when he gives speeches and you can tell he has early dementia. It is kind of sad how his wife used him but you can tell all the stress is making his symptoms way worse then it would if he was retired.

As far as Pop hope he comes back soon healthy and is able to end the year on a positive note.

I mean saying 75 instead of 80 doesn't materially change the argument that people of his age need to not be working. This is honestly an issue with their generation that we see all over the place. People need to retire and give other generations a chance at those jobs. Sure, not that big of a deal for an NBA coach but its the same we see in many fields where people just refuse to give up their positions and se damn sure see it in our goverment leadership. I don't see the point at all. I love my job but youll never catch me doing it that late into life because there are so many other things out there to do.
If an employer thinks an 80 year old can do your job better than you, that's a you issue.

Whatever. If you can't out do an 80 year old that on YOU! There's plenty of work out there to advance your career IF you are good enough than the next man. Not sure how old you are but the "many other things" you talk about are likely unsustainable or unreachable without money so easier said than done.

Trump’s level of coherence has been about the same for the last 8 years, but it is far from coherent. He makes Dubya look like a Nobel Laureate Poet.
Could say that about most politicians

Ex and his stupidity astounds me. He’s still mouthing off after I sent him to the tree of woe yesterday.

Anyway unlike his dumbass opinion, people don’t want Pop to be seriously ill. We forget Pop is near 80. I hope he takes it easy for his sake. All that traveling and stress over coaching can do a number on you. Get well soon, Pop!
Unfortunately for men like Pop (probably most people that have super long careers), their craft is all they know. They retire and then they die. Seen that happen too many times over the years.

Lord, please heal Pop's body and bring peace to his mind and soul. We have journeyed many years with him and had our blessings and differences, and pray that he may enjoy the great awakening with us in person.

In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Per usual. A few people got it.
Yeah, the pile on seemed excessive. It seemed obvious you weren't advocating that viewpoint personally, rather acknowledging the board's history of excessive trolling or whatever.

Tbh I disappointed there isn’t more speculation from this Forum.

    remember when Primo killed someone?
I was most worried he'd done something to a kid. The way they were acting, it felt like a sex crime. Glad it was about as harmless as a sex crime warranting dismissal could possibly be, all things considered.

Ehh, my Dad's 90 now. He's definitely slipped some in the last five years, but at 75, he was still pretty damn sharp, and had the energy to do a lot of stuff. Not so much now, taking it a lot easier, napping more, forgetting more stuff. There's a big difference between 75 and 90...

Sucks to be Pop in this thread. He's actually 75 years old... But then he's 80... Then he's 90! Will he hit the century?!?
Pop suffers from TDS. TDS can wear a person down and age them.

The good news: TDS isn't fatal. Pop should be back soon, using his "basketball genius" to lead the team to a 25 to 30 win season!

    GSG!

I agree. This could be serious. Pop has had TDS for years. TDS is a serious illness. While it is not known to be fatal, it can be crippling and debilitating in it's latter stages, and may exacerbate other health problems. Let's all hope he can make a full recovery.

One thing Im pretty sure of is one day Pop is just going to say "thats it" and walk away. He won't do some retirement tour. If he quits tommorrow he has earned it.

Typically NBA coaches get passed over for youth after a while and you see older former head coaches relegated to assistant coach positions to mentor a former player with little coaching experience. To me, that Pop still has his job at his age is the exception to the norm. He's mellowed and is more Grandpop than Pop, but hasn't lost much mentally as far as I can tell. I think he could delegate more but his presence still helps, like landing CP3. Anyway. Hopefully nothing serious with his health.

Yup... I think the change comes this summer and several coaches in the 'tree' and outside can position themselves for making a run at the job. We'll see names from Hardy, Snyder, etc to prominent college coaches in the mix.

Shams is now reporting that it was serious and that Mitch will be in charge for the foreseeable future.
