I wasn’t at this game… just at a bar with a co-worker since we’re traveling.
But… the last Spurs game road game I went to was @ LAC last season when we lost by 40.
So… yeah, maybe I shouldn’t go to any more Spurs road games.
Stay home next time, bro.kidding

Don't know exactly what Wemby is thinking but it could be an ego problem in that he doesn't want to "rely" on obvious mismatches in the post because that would be too easy and instead wants to be a "baller". That's dumb. You take advantage of weaknesses and capitalize on your blatant strengths. Again, alot of this is solved when he finally decides to go in-out. Then the outside shooting becomes more of the seasoning rather than the main dish.
Watching Wemby unwilling to backdown Kris ing Dunn was infuriating.
Who was on the court while Zubac was racking up a zillion OReb? A real shame that happened while we have a player who DREBs at an ELITE level just sitting on the bench in Bassey.
before the season started i posted about how the majority of the roster should be on the trading block. so you're kinda preaching to the choir.
my complaint was just that wemby can have an obvious mismatch and not be able to take advantage of it. a much smaller defender was dictating his positioning.
Jeremy was playing so well at the beginning of the game. I think his absence was huge.
Yea, he was guarding Harden very well.
Collins is making more than Zubac this year and the same next season
Makes sense lol
The Spurs need to stockpile those 2nd rounders. I mean, the only reason CP3 and Barnes are on this roster is so the Spurs can flip them for draft picks at the trade deadline. Let's replace scrubs with scrubs. Wemby will be out of here the first chance he gets because the Spurs FO does the bare minimum.
NGL, pretty fun game to see in person even if they the bed. Wemby is just ridiculous live tbh even when he's shooting like crap.
This team just lacks the firepower to stay with most NBA teams tbh. Have to pretty much play perfect defense in order to have a shot and that's asking a lot when you're giving turnstiles like Keldon, Branham, and Zollins rotation minutes.
Felt inevitable once the Clippers turned up the defensive intensity.
You guys think the Holts can build a state-of-the-art Intuit dome in Downtown SA? They'll prolly call it the Whataburger dome.
I was at the same game last year. I think my record seeing them in person is something like 1-9 so I should definitely stay home tbh![]()
I find it odd that Pop gets sick the moment you decide to watch a game. I think we might have a conspiracy on our hands.
True. This is one of his best defensive games. But, everyone holds him to a higher standard so he should be criticized on offense. Not just for this game, for the young season so far.
His pts per posession on post touches was .43 before Jan .46 after. What he is good is at the elbow .6 last year down to .2 this year. Putting guards/wings on him neutralize part of his game.
Terrible loss. I thought the Spurs were going to win this one after that start.
Wemby post up kills our offense, it is confirmed by CP3 that they are eliminating much of it.
We really needed wemby to post up and slow the game down.Make em work and attack the rim and get them in foul trouble
to help slow down their momentum or something. We couldint hit shots and needed sum type of offense to get us barely by.
But wemby didnt step up.
While Wemby definitely needs to punish mismatches more, post ups get exponentially easier to counter with every non-shooter on the floor.
Spurs often times have two next to Wemby and it's really easy to send help. His post moves need to be quick and decisive.
Since he's shooting so many threes, I'd actually like him to just try and master that LMA fadeaway, would be way better for him and for the team.
Needs to keep balance whenever he catches it near the paint and fadeaway would become automatic.
I really think Devin will completely change how the team looks on offense, just hoping he won't need much time to get into rythm.
When did he say this?
It least the Clippers got one for avoiding to give OKC a lottery pick...since it's still a transition season, I care more about if the Atlanta pick is better than the Clippers pick, than our own record.
get LaMarcus on the coaching staff. He had one of the best post up games period.
I went to bed at halftime, but I knew what the result was gonna be after they basically gave up that lead by the half.
Love this idea. LA as a dedicated “Wemby Coach”. Not a big man coach. A Wemby Coach. Dedicated solely to the one player. Have no way of knowing what Wemby is thinking, but on offense he’s become the inefficient chucker ball hog this site criticizes other players of being, and hopefully these short term bad habits don’t set in and become his playing iden y.
The problem is that what LMA did won't ever work for Wemby.
LMA would bully his way into the position, get the ball, bump the defender and then either take a turnaround jumper or drive to the middle.
Even when Wemby gets into position, he's easily dislodged and loses balance. Can't even take jumpshots like that, let alone put the ball on the floor and drive.
