Getting so annoyed seeing keldon with the ball.He is so predictable with what hes gonna do.Gonna drive to the paint to a group
of defenders and throw the ball up and scream.Mamu and castle should be getting all his min.Mamu playing along with wemby

    1. For God's sake, use spaces after punctuation. The human race has been doing this for centuries. You didn't notice how people use spaces?

    2. The team seems to be developing Keldon with the ball in his hands. Settle the down.

Great win against a better team. Way to keep the foot on the pedal to close it out. It seems that the Spurs controlled the pace from CP3 to Castle having the ball. It’s good to have multiple ball handlers on the team who cannot easily get rattled and keeps the composure. It’s hard to believe one of them is a rookie.

Wemby is not forcing the issue, just letting the game gets to him. Sure he fumbled the ball a couple of times doing a crossover in traffic. Hopefully he cleans that up.

Castle hitting 3’s is becoming consistent. If he keeps this up, it will help him even more to blow by his defender.

Vassell is a bit off-rhythm but he’s doing a great job coming back.

If they can bottle this up, keep the hunger, it will be a very interesting season. GSG!

Keldon and Collins are this team's two biggest problems atm.
They take up 20% of our total salaries while being negatives on both ends of the floor.
On top of that, we have players who would obviously contribute more than them.

A lot of bigs, especially backups, are bad rim protectors, but after a few decent games, Collins is averaging less than 2 rebounds in 14mpg over his last 7 games, ffs.
    He's a complete non-factor

Keldon's numbers aren't that bad, but eye test is horrendeous. Still the same player he was 4 years ago.
They're both a perfect example of addition by subtraction, we'll just have to wait and see if Mitch actually has the courage to DNP them because Wright surely won't trade either one during the season.

Sabonis is a 3 time All Star, 2 time All NBA player. You act like Collins is the only player Sabo has ever done this to. He was taught the game by his father, one of the greatest big men to ever play the game, a sort of proto Jokic.

On the amazing block by Wemby, Domantis knocked him back two feet, did a 360 clockwise spin, and put up a beautiful shot. Unfortunately for him, Wemby has an 8 foot wingspan. Domantis didn’t fail to score because he wasn’t an outstanding player, he failed to score because Wemby isn’t human. Collins is human.

the observation i made was merely tautological. it wasn't an argument. now, if i had stated that sabonis only seems to do this to collins, then you'd have a point.

Yeah I was going to mention that play. Sabonis is really good. He puts a lot of players on a platter.

And Collins is who he is. A PF trying to play up a size that he doesn't have. There's no sense in worrying about him or his salary, which isn't that long or that big anyway. The team does need to find a good bench player there, but it's not happening right now.

As for Keldon, the team seems to really be working on some of his next skills. Maybe they take, maybe they don't. I was watching the Sacto broadcast and they mentioned several times how DDR became much more of a playmaker under the Spurs. So did Poeltl, by the way. I expect they're trying to see where KJ can go with on-ball reps full court and initiating. I don't mind.

The issue is that we potentially have that player on the roster.
Collins has been horrible for more than a year now. The only positive this season has been his 3pt shooting, but he takes 2 per game, so it's not even relevant.
We have Bassey on the roster, they exercised his option this summer.
I'm not saying Bassey is guaranteed to be better than Collins, but there's absolutely nothing to lose if they give him 3 to 5 games for proper evaluation.
As I said already, that's my biggest issue. Feels like Keldon and Collins are playing just because of their high salaries.

Vassell's chemistry with Wemby can't be overstated tbh. I think Devin is the best at finding him and Wemby actually rolls when he screens for Devin. They had some really nice PnR action in this game. I don't think it's overly coincidental that Wemby has had his two best games of the season since DV's return.

The more minutes Vic gets to play with guys that are comfortable with him (DV, Mamu, CP3), the more it's going to get the big guy going tbh. I really want to see a CP3/Devin/Castle/Mamu/Wemby lineup more.

He's on his continuation since the ASG tbh

His assist ratio to Wemby ended up higher than Tre's, contrary to the latter, Devin actually tried and took risks to improve, it was ugly at the beginning but they really became a 1-2 combo towards the end.

That's why I changed my mind on Devin tbh, I wasn't a fan of his at ude and game pre ASG

I agree with Mitch Johnson modernizing the Spurs offense by increasing the volume of three pointers. I noticed that the Spurs players are now not hesitant to launch threes compared to when Pop was coaching. Or did it coincide with Vassell who also started to play?

Im really really enjoying these past two games without Blackhole Branham...

Hope he takes about 4-5 months off to make sure his ankle is properly healed.

The problem is, everyone abuses him. Starter, reserve, scrub, superstar. It doesn’t matter. Collins’ non-defense will make any opponent look good.

Zollins just don't play the athleticism to defend the paint tbh.

He only strength is his high post playmaking.
