Epic game! Against the lowly Wizards but this is how you truly grow as a team. We did so little of this, whatever you want to call this other than growth, last season. Now, we're seeing every game dividends being paid out.

You start by beating the bottom feeders and getting into the play-in. That should still be our goal though it's obviously extremely tough to do out west.

Wemby with 8-16 at the 3pt and blowing his defender with a fake when they bite. If Sochan was playing he’d be playing choo choo train at the rim. Castle should take advantage of that open lanes more with only 3-6 fga. I don’t if Wesley was playing with Wemby because he had several open lanes with no shot blocker inside. If that’s by design I can see how they will take advantage of Wemby making 3’s, to the dismay of many pundits here. “Why is Wemby shooting too many 3’s?”

Valanciunus would be such a perfect backup for us. Would be great for Wemby to get some practice reps against a real center too.
wizards signed him for 3/30 one offseason after we gave collins 2/35 lol

Spurs still have a better record
I just had a look at some of the other box scores. Looks like quite a few players had huge nights last night.

Did it in 32 mins, that's nuts
I think he had the 50 in around 28 minutes before he came back in for his last stint.

That's insane. He seems way underrated, it's not like I watch every game of his but every time he comes in against the Mavs or Spurs he feels like a game changer. Don't know how he's not an upper-echelon salary guy.

he's very much an old school center. raw strength, a lot of bully-ball. very robotic, not much movement or finesse from him. somewhere between 75-80% of his shot attempts come from within 10 feet. there's still game segments where that style of play can be effective. he used to do very well against Poeltl who is built to be a more modern rim protector but was also prone to being physically overwhelmed (KAT would eat his lunch as well).

we wound up overpaying Collins because it turns out the post-ASB play in 22-23 was a mirage.

I know we gave Devin a big contractor, for the moment at least to make him the number two player on the team, but his mentality is so much score first that I kind of see him doing well to stay with the second unit as sort of a super six man. I think VW needs players around him that keep the ball moving. Anyway, just a thought for the moment. My opinion could change over time.
