I won't be needing AC in the U.P. which is also a non-target in a WW3 nuclear scenario.
on the other hand, San Antonio absolutely is a target if enough nukes fly, maybe not immediately because it's roughly 50% away from both coasts, but it's still a big military city.
San Antonio besides being a population center is a high priority target because of airfields at Randolph, Kelly, and SA Intl that could be used to launch bombers from, nuclear triad and all. I'd die immediately in about a 1000 degree fire from a 1 megaton nuke since I'm less than a mile from one of the Randolph airfields, though personally I'd jump on my bike and ride to the Bill Miller across the street from the entrance to the base if I ever hear the EAS warning so that maybe I could get vaporized in the instantaneous fireball (traffic would be way too terrible to get on the roads with a car). You on the other hand would probably die slowly over a week to a month from exposure to fallout from all the groundbursts to take out our Minuteman III silos in the north of the nation and if not the nuclear winter would get you.
