any calls for Trump to divest his holdings before he becomes president, or does he get to use public service to steer money directly into his own pockets again?

I mean, it makes sense that public corruption is more or less unpunishable in the plutocratic order par excellence, it just seems weird that it's not even a discussion this time around and is openly tolerated at the very top of the pecking order.

“Donald Trump is tougher and more badass than anybody,” White (UFC) told The New Yorker. “You can only pray that you’re a quarter of the man that Donald Trump was when a guy tried to take seven shots at his head with a high-powered rifle with a f***ing scope on it.”

You obviously only have a problem when it comes to Trump. I've not seen you once bring up the insider trading all of congress participates in, especially Pelosi. I wonder why?

    for the cult -
as long as someone else has done it sometime in history -then trump can break any law he wants because someone else has also broken that law...

if one day - a democrat breaks as many laws out in the open/in public - LAWS and CRIMINALITY - will matter again!

whataboutism - imported from russia to the cult...

flauting the law, door wide open for corruption

just another day ending in "Y" in Trumplandia

Trump Is Running His Transition Team on Secret Money - The New York Times

President-elect Donald J. Trump is keeping secret the names of the donors who are funding his transition effort, a break from tradition that could make it impossible to see what interest groups, businesses or wealthy people are helping launch his second term.

Mr. Trump has so far declined to sign an agreement with the Biden administration that imposes strict limits on that fund-raising in exchange for up to $7.2 million in federal funds earmarked for the transition. By dodging the agreement, Mr. Trump can raise unlimited amounts of money from unknown donors to pay for the staff, travel and office space involved in preparing to take over the government.

Mr. Trump is the first president-elect to sidestep the restrictions, provoking alarm among ethics experts.

Those seeking to curry favor with the incoming administration now have the opportunity to donate directly to the winning candidate without their names or potential conflicts ever entering the public sphere. And unlike with campaign contributions, foreign nationals are allowed to donate to the transition….

Mr. Trump’s transition team, formally known as Trump Vance 2025 Transition Inc., has revealed nothing about how much money it hopes to raise, who has contributed to the fund or how it is spending the money.

It pointless to clutch pearls any longer and in the next decade or two - it would just be a waste of time.

This is the kind of event where the corruption will be uncovered in 20 years and looked back upon as the time the usa voters willingly allowed so much corruption that historians will lecture about how a democracy died and was a conscious decision by voters to kill their own freedoms and values and laws that protected them for 250 years.
