Maybe this game highlights the importance of Paul’s energy and leadership. He looked spent. Three days off seems much needed.

really frustrated by Mitch, and disappointed in Vassell
going to continue to give Vassell a little bit of the "rust" excuse, but he is just a ball stopper out there and doesnt seem to have any chemistry with anybody.
as for mitch... i dont like how seemingly inflexible he is with the pecking order of reserves. bassey plays exceptionally well for two consecutive games when Vic was out, but then doesnt get a single real rotation minute thereafter because collins and only collins can be the center off the bench. why? wesley has been on and off this year, but we've seen him have marked impact on games in ways where Tre simply has not. yes there are less backcourt minutes with Vassell back, but why is Wesley firmly a towel waiver while Tre is fed minutes to do all of nothing? he needs to give a shorter leash to bench guys. he talked about depth becoming our strength, but how is that the case if you refuse to make use of some of those pieces? why is mamu only getting 3 minutes of garbage time run?
3.3 FTAZero free throw attempts in 33 minutes accurately paint the picture of his lack of physicality in the paint.
among the team's top scorers, only Brandon Ingram has fewer
Softanyama
I thought Mitch looked and coached very tired, like CP3 played. Getting used to coaching B2Bs takes a while to get the hang of I'd guess.
A game I expected us to lose, and I feel like there was some learnings opportunities, hopefully we gain from them.
Mitch's worst game since taking over, IMO, as he completely dropped the ball in making adjustments. Not going to Mamu was startling to me, and how many times do we need to see Collins get abused before we realize that Bassey is who should play against physical centers?
Sounds like Sochan may be back as soon as Sunday though, and we'll get our first chance to see a full-strength squad!
maybe it's because he hasn't played with any of these guys for the past 8 months?
I’d buy that if he was making awkward passes or not knowing where to kick out to on a drive etc. but just stopping to play isoball has nothing to do with chemistry.
just not impressed with vassell....Hope he can get it together. We need big games from him.
Vassell looks like he forgot to play 5 on 5 basketball. It is understandable due to the lengthy injury but very concerning about his supposed core status on the team.
KJ game just gone to trying to fit on the roster going forward, we don't play a style that makes him look good.
Lebron takes this meaningless tournament super serial. He looks like Kobe going ham at the all star game.
Apparently you and I are among the few who notice Devin's isoball tendencies. Maybe we're overexaggerating? I definitely see it... but no one else seems to.
He's been this way forever. A lead guard with the ball in his hands a lot only averaging 3 assists per game. He loves the isoball, problem is he's not good at it. Last 5 games hes -13 -3 -18 -13 and -22. He's not a good team player.
IMO the sooner we move on from him the better
His TS%, in a small sample this year, is 61%. That’s elite. He’s in the minus because HE’S PLAYING OFF THE ING BENCH. That unit is terrible this year.
He is 100 percentile in isolation. 57% on pull up 3 and 57% on all pull ups, that makes him the most efficient high volume pull up shooter in the league. He is not playing team ball right now but to say he is not good at isolation is wrong.
Count me in as well. I said it a couple of times that Vassell is a good player but his style of play may not be what the spurs should have. Hope he sees the floor better and start to really d up.
My concern is his injury history as we really need him to pan out because if he doesn’t we are kind of screwed short term. But will see how the season goes I am not to worried right now it is going to take some time to get in playing shape and gel with teammates coming off Foot Surgery.
The thing I want him to work on is obviously continuing mastering the 3 ball, but also taking it to the rim hard and either 2 points or to the free throw line. Also would like to see better effort on defense would be nice which is kind of weird as that was his calling card in college.
lol he only played 5 games so far and is mostly the only guy off the bench with double figures. WTF are you watching?
if he were a role player getting paid champ money he would be fine. But hes getting paid max money being average is not fine.
We the made the mistake of overpaying collins and keldon,Hope we didnt do the same with vassell.
He's getting Max money?
5 Games
complain about that once he‘s played 30
29 million = max money

Zach lavine since the season started has looked better and missed the same amount of time since last season.Who would of thought lavine would have
a bigger impact for their team compared to vassell. But hope ur right my guy
People really should look at actual numbers before claiming that Vassell is basically a super max guy.
Zach LaVine has played 18 games this season
