DMX was THE next big thing, 2 albums number one 2 years in a row, the most popular, the next 2pac etc He was above everyone.
Jay did him dirty by acting as if he wanted his best interest but actually not releasing his next album (despite everything being ready, video done etc) and allegedly "helped" him go into his dark sides with drugs etc to take him out of the compe ion basically
You can watch a few youtube videos telling the story and the pattern JayZ has with everybody who can threaten him or have something/one he wants. (Aalyiah for ex)
As dirty of a human being as Diddy if not worse
Will have to check it out. Used to love DMX's music in the early 2000s and find Jay Z to be the most overrated rapper ever. D'Evils was amazing but other than that he's kind of mid and belongs nowhere near legends like Rakim, Cube, Em, Nas, KRS, Pac, etc he always gets mentioned with on the GOAT list.
Jay Z is and has always been a hustler more than an artist. He started as a crack dealer and has always had the same mentality and cynicism. DMX like Nas were a thousand times more talented and he used his position as a record producer and his influence in the medias to blackball or ghost artists.
He stole bits after bits and did dirty to a lot of ppl to reach the spot he is (as a businessman/hustler more than rapper)
I'd enjoy to see him fall like I do for Diddy's
Maybe they should not have raped kids huh?
