The good thing with Bass is that we all don't feel a collective sigh and fear that the teams will just get layups and dunks ala when Collins is in.
The bad thing is that I don't think Bass has a long leash to be making mistakes this much on offense. I certainly do hope so but I don't have that much faith on Mitch yet or especially when Pop comes back.
The block he got earlier will have more of an impact on this game than anything Collins has done all season.
Get Champ trained on quick releases against starter caliber defenders and then bring him off the bench and he has starter level release timing against bench level defenders. Could be a smart move.

I’m hopeful the coaching staff will see the missed layups as just part of the growing pains and part of the cost of the increased energy on defense and the boards.
