Launch lineup is rumored to be Mario Kart 9, Metroid Prime 4, Breath of the Wild 60 fps Remaster, Tekken 8, and Elden Ring. So I have no real interest in this system until the next 3D Mario.
I'll be getting it but it won't be a day one purchase. I've gotten to where I don't play any video games....except Zelda lol. I get bored/a headache with any other console games for whatever reason. In any case, I expect Mario Kart and Metroid Prime 4 to be the big launch games. Trailers probably for the next 3D Mario and a teaser for Zelda; I doubt they'll release 2 big Mario games at launch but you never know, they might come out with guns blazing. I don't expect the next 3D Zelda game to come out until late next year/early 2027.

Ditto. I mean, I'd like to ditch my Switch, which is a day one version, but it can wait another year or two. Unless something else comes out that looks insane. Doubtful.
Ouch $90 for Mario Kart World physical, $80 digital
PS3 says, 'Hold my beer!"
What a let down! Not that I care to have a Nintendo system due to them constantly catering to toddlers.
Yeah they're getting greedy as . Especially charging for a demo game. I'll pick a Switch 2 up eventually but I'm not in any rush.
Turned out the bump in price for physical looks to be Europe only. Ugh if my Japanese was better I'd be tempted to get the $330 Japan only version, but Dragon Quest is about my skill limit for playing in Japanese. Mario, Zelda, and all are really easy in Japanese but the language in say Persona or Like a Dragon games is way beyond the level I can read/listen to and enjoyably play and I'd want to play that kind of too.
Nevermind what I said earlier. That's a pretty good list of games
I don't really mind the $450 price. The people wanting it to be $299 are stuck in 2015 and are delusional. What I don't like is Nintendo's absolute refusal to lower the price on any games. ing BOTW, a Switch 1 launch le, is still 60 bucks. Gimme a break lol.
The Japanese only version makes no sense. Japan buys the second most Nintendos after the US so they're willing to lose over $100 per unit cuz the yen sucks? I get Japan is xenophobic as but c'mon.
sheeeeiit muhufuggah, I was gonna hold off too but they got Metroid Prime 4 coming out n sheeeiit
tbh they need a "Streets of Dallas TX" bonus level where the enemies are nothing but a horde of homeless, toothless, mixed race mulatto looking things with 10 different ethnicities imho
$450 sucks for this if the rumors are right and it has hardware on par with the $350 Steam Deck that is an 800p gaming system. This is honestly probably a system I'll buy once there is another 3D Zelda and another 3D Mario, assuming the Zelda and Mario are Tears & Odyssey quality and not Skyward Sword and Super Mario 3D World quality. And then sell it after beating those games. If it's the latter I'm probably not interested in the system.

Most of those games are stuff a lot of people have already played on PS5 or PC though. And I gotta think if the Switch 2 was going to have another 3D Mario or GTA VI this year it would have been shown in their big Switch 2 Direct. It looks more like Nintendo is scared to compete with GTA VI this year and holding back on another 3D Mario until after.
Bummer considering its msrp price and the cost of games for the S2.
I mean, I'll definitely get it one day, purely for the fact that it can play games without lagging during graphics heavy parts. I'll keep it purely for that fact and to play older nintendo games on it. And since it can finally do 4k on it, I highly highly doubt the next Mario/Zelda games won't be older style quality. It won't compete with Sony/Microsoft in terms of quality but Nintendo went away from that race decades ago.
This has nothing to do with the subject at hand but I always laugh when I see your AV Jebus. I continuously imagine it's Denise from Always Sunny In Philly.![]()

The man is a living inspiration tbqhwy
Who is he?
It's the legendary Chris Moltisanti from The Sopranos.
This referenced the scene in Goodfellas when the same actor played Spider who got shot in the foot by Joe Pesci.

Thanks Bum!
I've always meant to watch the Sopranos one of the days. Love Goodfellas, heat, and other gangster movies Italian or otherwise like American Me, Bound By Honor (aka Blood In, Blood out) and similar.
Appreciate the response.
Sopranos is probably the peak Italian gangster media ever put out, though the movie from 2021 sucked (I think it's called Many Saints of Newark). It's funny it was so realistic the feds got the DeCavalcante family out of New Jersey on tape saying yeah that's us from the show and asking if the show had a plant in their family.
sons I got into modding those old SMW SNES games back in like 2020 for fun. Wonder how easy / hard it would be to do the same on the BOTW / TOTK engine.
Thinking about modding a final shrine bonus level with the final boss being a 4-headed totem pole stacked with fire breathing Jason Garrett bobble heads regurgitating quotes about "The Process" and "Finish the Fight". Maybe have it walk around on legs like those BOTW Test of Strength bosses. Each bobblehead takes eight hits from the bow to topple to go with the 8-8 meme tbh imho
Just as long as it starts clapping it's claws after you beat the out of it. And if, for some reason, it starts beating you, it can call a time out and ice itself for 5 seconds, allowing you to bash it's skull in.
rofl TotemPole Bot calling Stasis on himself right before he's about to attack the player
also if you g0ts are gonna mod me as a final boss....it's important...and necessary...to make it a three phase boss fight....
So that I can tell the player after that he played well....that he played well....in all three phases....
I thought when I bought my steam deck it was going to be used for emulating Nintendo games, switch etc.... Just so nice using Steam collection that I forgot I had a bunch of fairly recent Nintendo roms on there.
