"...On the last weekend of November 2024, there wasn't a head coach on a hotter seat in college football than Ohio State’s Ryan Day.
The team was fresh off of a 17-10 home loss versus the 7-5 Michigan Wolverines that kept them out of a fourth consecutive Big Ten Championship Game. Since taking over for former head coach Urban Meyer in 2018, Day has had more losses to Michigan (4) than Big Ten les (3) and hasn’t won a single national championship.
In the wake of potential buyout talks, Day has delivered postseason success that many of his detractors didn’t believe was possible...."

3-loss "Champion" is coming. This sport has declined immensely in a short amount of time and it won't rebound
The college bowl ratings this year reached record highs
But at what cost. Not sure I can even tell you the Conference Champs this season
Your ignorance changes nothing.
Well yeah, Florida State was bad out of the gate and you lost interest.
And lol "what cost". ESPN made money. It's true.
There doesn't seem to be a reason why FBS can't have a playoff like the FCS. 22 relevant bowl games would be a bonanza for all parties involved. Might as well do it since any pretense of the "student-athlete" has ended.
The only arguments I ever heard was "it's too much stress on the students and extra games could mean more injuries".....
And yeah, meanwhile the FCS kept trucking along.
Decent article on the history of why it kept getting shot down year after year:

Student athlete lol
Big field is too watered down
But I got no issue with them paid student athlete playing
I would reduce it to 8 or 6
196 pages, bro.
Consider my feelings hurt.
