Would have been funny to have identical scores.

The guys probably stayed too late last night… undermining a good team who was embarrassed the last game. It’s so predictable… compounded by a dumb coach who cannot make correct adjustments

Devin, Jeremy and Tre with -30 each, ffs.
Castle has a lot of things to work on, but he was the only one who didn't give up.

As I said before the game, we had no chance in this one, but it really didn't have to be this ugly.
I'm really glad that it was, actually. A close game and heartbreak loss would've been much tougher to bear.

It's good in the long run that the team's deficiencies get exposed like this, on a bigger stage. Chris Paul talked a lot in his interview after last game about how the team has to get better and not be complacent, and I believe he's taking a very close look at the roster, and speaking with the staff about it (one of the many ways in which he's an amazing signing for the Spurs).

He has two great qualities in that he's an insane compe or, and is old enough to see things with clarity and perspective. He'll push for change in ways that the FO might not be accustomed to, and that's a great thing.

I see moving parts coming in the off-season.

Surprised they didn't run the lead up to 50 after how their commentators complained last game that the Spurs were running up the score tbh.

I'm not sure if it's better that we won the first game to break up a potential 10 game losing streak going into the trade deadline, or worse. Maybe a 10-game losing streak would be enough to Spur the FO into action, though maybe that would have even been a bridge too far and cause us just to give up until the offseason. Who am I kidding, they've already done that.

We spent the entire first half of the season talking about how this team is exceeding expectations... but tbh with this gauntlet coming up in February (no games in San Antonio from Feb 2 - Mar 1), we might be right on track for 28-32 wins, which would be below expectations (in my opinion, anyway).

    I disagree.
Tough losses are tougher to bear when you're supporting a good team and bad losses aren't much to worry about because an off night happens to everyone. Like it did to the Pacers who are now 11-2 in their last 13 games.

These horrible blowouts show that the roster is just garbage and hopeless.

It's good in the long run that the team's deficiencies get exposed like this, on a bigger stage.
I'd agree if we had a proactive front office.
But what are the odds of their M.O. changing?
Every single game I'm in disbelief that we're playing Jeremy as a backup big. There's not a single valid excuse for it.
We have close to 20 SRPs on our disposal and we should've had a reliable backup by now. But Wright obviously doesn't feel the same.
There's not a single person in the world who can explain the logic behind not having a backup big yet. It's just sheer incompetence.

Fat chance he does that. Kid is the quintessential Popovichian "bigger-than-basketball" prodigy.
I hope you're right but I doubt it, or at best passive aggressively...

Wemby is too attached at how he does things and how he's perceived, he wants to be a goos teammates and please everyone, he doesn't realize yet that he's surrounded by wolves in his roster who aren't his friends.

Yep... No matter how bad we are, and how obvious we need to make a move, we never do... Once u come to terms with that, it will save u the disappointment... We always wait for ppl to either leave or come... It's like Pop wants to keep the narrative going that the Spurs are above making moves because we have a master plan that everyone else is too stupid to get

Cory Alexander says that Pop told him pre-Victor that the core of Vassell-Keldon-Tre was just one superstar away.

Get well soon Pop, but he clearly lost it a few years ago
"if we could add a Steph Curry like player to that core...like Bryn Forbes, we'd be back in the le race"

    Devin Vassell

    33 min
    2-8 fg
    6 pts
    -30

downright HWSNBN RJ " y Jefferson" level territory in the expectations to production ratio

He should have let Sidy go ahead and get that dunk for the fans. The game was over anyways.

No lame excuses, the Spurs just aren't as good as Indiana.

First game was a fluke with Wemby playing inspired and Indiana having a bad 2nd half.

Pop thinking Vassell/Johnson/Jones/Sochan are a core for anything meaningful should scare the out of you.

Hope they get some fresh eyes on this roster when “evaluating”.

These players are showing you who they are …have been for a few seasons. You might want to believe them.

It was hard to watch all the fumbled passes and horrible dribbling in the 4th quarter. no one played like they were capable NBA professionals. i guess they were hungover.
