Congratulations, keed! First in a long string of appearances in an event that I'm now forced to watch again after many years 'cause of Vic!
Here's hoping he injects compe iveness back in the game, as he promised!

Good. I think he should have been there last year too IMO.

Was there actually questions whether or not he'd get picked?

A little suprised Sengun made it. Spurs really should have drafted him . Was there anyone else on the Rockets that might have been worthy?
How about Sabonis? I guess the Rockets record played a part in Sengun making it over him, which is a fair call IMO if that is how it played out.

I'm not the biggest fan of Sabonis, but in my opinion, he would have been more deserving than Harden this season.

Should've been starter but glad he made the All-Star team!

I kind of wanted to see him competing on the sop re squad. They will have legit incentive to try and beat the all stars.

I've been banging on the Sengun drum since that draft day, but...if we had gotten Sengun, we probably don't get Wemby.

Definitely more than Sengun. He has him beat in basically every statistical category.

The only reason they chose Sengun is because Houston has a better record so I guess they felt compelled to include a Rocket, but I thought All-Star was supposed to be an individual award?

Yeah, I guess the decisions are mostly based on some kind of mixture between individual play and team success. I think I would have had Sengun ahead of Harden, but you can certainly also make a case for Harden.

Wouldn't be shocked if Vassell showed up and stood 3 feet away from CP3 the whole time asking for a pass

I didn't know much about Sengun, but I do remember some of you guys here saying the Spurs should draft him. Good call at the time. I give all you guys props that identified him, BUT, as you say, most likely no Victor if that happened, so knowing how it turned out, I am definitely happier with the outcome now.

Sengun didn't stop the Rockets from being bad enough to get Victor, why would it have stopped us? Both teams went into the lottery with the same odds for Vic.

Edit: even Victor himself didn't stop us from being bad enough from being in a position to get Victor, since we finished with the same record both years

I could be wrong, but I think the Spurs would have won more games with Sengun IMO decreasing the odds. No idea, though, and I could be completely wrong on that.

Spurs could've won more games that season if they weren't blatantly DNP-ing players based on matchups. Same would've happened to Sengun or whoever else could've been on the team.

As for CP3, I'd say he's likely to stay another year and retire with the Spurs.
Considering that there aren't any established coaches available, CP3 is probably the best choice if we're talking rookie coaches, tbh.
