Idk. RJ for SJax was like heaven even though Jax soured on us after.
That return of SJax was like the end of WWII here on ST

I'd still find a way to move Vassell and Keldon, tbh.

    Avatar not changing for now.
You should at least change the "Banned" to an Orange colour...

    Great deal

But I have to say, I think the Kings did great also

They have a legit 25 pts per game scorer in the same age and contract range so they can just move Monk to point guard full time, and they got 5 seconds and 2 unprotected and guaranteed first round picks to go and improve their team. Now they can try for John Collins or Cam Johnson whereas before they couldn't get it done. This was legit as good a result as they could have hoped

The team that got ruined was the Bulls. They got their pick back, but could have guaranteed it this year anyway by moving LaVine for picks! And now they have to eat Collins for a year? Bulls got WRECKED

Not sure why everyone thinks we should keep starting CP3 at this point. He can backup Fox or a contender can pay for him. We got our PG, we dont need him anymore
Because he would still be our 3rd best player after Wemby and Fox.

Doesn't mean he can't lead the second unit. Would probably be better in that role since he slow as now and can't get by any starting level players anymore

Agreed. They just wanted to move Lavine badly and didn't have any suitors. The Kings also didn't get worse.

Paul is probably the best floor spacer we have in the entire roster. I want that next to Fox and Wemby as much as possible.

If the only change we make is swap Fox for CP3 in the starting lineup, we aren't gonna improve as much as people think, tbh.

I would say getting Gervin via trade from Virginia for cash is the greatest trade ever for the franchise

Lavine and DeRozan get to team up again as Chicago West. There will not be a drop in offense and as far as the defense, Levine doesn't move the needle much either. They good, TBH.

Able to match up better with okc,dal and hou so mission accomplished. Still, sochan/kj/vassell should still be available to upgrade

I used to love vassell but I wouldn't have been opposed to dumping that contract. maybe he will get better as a fourth option on offense or off the bench

    4 FRP?
That's way too much for Fox...
I liked that we didn't have to give up any rotational piece other than Tre, but is still think we have overpaid.
They gave up 3 frps the Charlotte one is lottery protected and becomes 2 second rounders next year. Also they gave up the minny pick which is fine cause whoever you'd use it on is in middle school. Lastly Spurs got the Mavs 2030 pick which after the trade last night is probably more valuable than the 2031

The hidden benefit of this is that because SA gave up so few assets for Fox, they may be more willing to let him walk if he, for example, extends on a 2+1 and wants to sign for 35% of the cap as a 10 year vet while not fitting in as well as expected. The fewer assets you give up, the less likely you are to fall prey to a sunk cost fallacy.

We also gave up Sidy, I believe. All in all, quite a fleecing.

he still has trade value tbh. ive soured on him as well but he's still more than just matching salary. im glad they didnt include him here because he can be used elsewhere if he doesnt show improvement before the end of the year

So much for relaxing and keeping my heart rate down.

Anyway, I don't have time to sift through the rubble, but suffice it to say, many of you owe Wright an apology.

Kings probably won't be particularly worse, and if they make another move, probably better than before

So even with the trade Spurs can still miss the playoffs as Kings might still stay above them in the standings
