So what are his strong points right now? Defense? What does he go well on offense and what does he struggle with?
Yeah, Amen is wildly athletic and has an incredible motor.
I see him like the sweet spot between James Worthy and Michael Cooper. Offensively, he has a long ways to go and long time to get there.

I would love Adams on the Spurs, but probably not worth what it would take to get him
Same. Always liked that guy. Would be too expensive though and I doubt HOU wants to do us any favors.
Caleb Martin to the Mavs for Grimes
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ka-doncic-deal
Everyone knows DAL ownership didn't want to be on the hook for that supermax. 350mill is a lot of money but they still should have gotten so much more. Crazy that Pelinka punked Nico like that when they could have gotten Knecht and an extra 1st rounder smh
There's no way Doncic would have turned down the supermax. If he really wanted out he would have signed it first and then forced a trade.
Exactly which is why it's so stupid to even be brought up. Who would openly want to turn down an extra $116mill that they can only get from the Mavs smh? Mavs just trying to come up with anything to justify the stupidity of that trade
I could seriously see Luka breaking Wilt's 100 pt game record vs the Mavs.
Hopefully, he meets his old team in the playoffs this spring.
Also, I'd think the the next CBA will be brutal and will include a lockout in part due to this trade.
Quite possible. imo the supermax will have to be eliminated or overhauled. It was supposed to let teams keep their elite players but if anything it has had the opposite effect.
Though I forgot who came up with it, I like the idea of the difference between the supermax and normal max not counting towards the salary cap.
Yeah, that's the most common idea and should be a no-brainer.
I'd say that something like max to supermax difference not counting for the team that drafted the player, but counting if he gets traded would be even better.
Another issue is that it's way too easy to earn a supermax.
Still, this CBA is as good as it gets for us.
Wemby will undoubtedly be the best player in the league, 3 max contract teams won't be viable which favors teams with one superstar and high end starters around him.
Damn I saw they were getting Martin but didn't realize it was for Grimes. I like Grimes, but I don't watch Mavs games other than when they play us so I don't know what his role was
Darn, I agree. I think it needs to be eliminated. Maybe come up with something else to try and help teams keep their star players, but the supermax isn't it.
Slaves while making millions. OK buddy
I hope the Spurs don't trade their 25' picks for a backup center.
that modern day slavery tweet
Homie, you've got a mansion(s), fast cars, beautiful hoes and the best doctors. Fantasyland tbh
"We've got a bunch of rebellious slaves on this team" -- Larry Johnson during the '99 Spurs-Knicks NBA Finals.
Schroeder is a man of principles, he rejected that $84M contract from the Lakers because he didn't want to be a slave for 4 years.![]()
Leave the poor guy alone. He has no idea that other jobs constantly transfer people to other cities as well. Or that the contract is for the nba and not just the team alone. Oh and he also owns his own team so I guess in his own world that would make him a slave trader…
I kinda doubt his thoughts went deep enough to make that obvious parallel.
Damn I would sign up to be a slave for tens of millions of dollars a year, if the only thing I had to do was play a game.
