I don't get why PHX has a hard-on to get rid of Durant. Booker is even more beta than he is. Get rid of him. Get your picks back.

This trade proposal is wild. Phoenix gets a malcontent player who kind of sucks now and just wants tons of money in Butler. They lose their actually good player in Durant.

The Warriors get Durant back for practically nothing.

And Miami gets a platter of decent stuff for getting rid of malcontented crappy player.
The Spurs should be the 4th team and give 4 SRPs for Wiggins.

If Suns trade KD for Jimmy+FRP it will be as bad of a move as Luka trade.
If Booker isn't asking out, they should just get the best long-term offer for KD and try to retool in the summer, otherwise it's over.
If they get Jimmy they'll extend him and have $100M on the books for him and Beal until 2027.
I mean it's really bad but the Luka trade just destroyed a franchise that was set both in the near and long term. Unless the Spurs trade Wemby for Brunson or Jaylen Brown or something it's going to hard to ever approach that level of fail.

They’re totally desperate, however, Middleton is washed and he has a 35 mil player option for next season. Neither him nor Kuzma are likely to make them a real contender but Kuzma’s contract might be more tradable.

Also gets them under the second apron, so they can now aggregate salary among other things.

Lowe is probably the most plugged in reporter in the NBA who doesn't break news. Durant seems to really be on the table for the right offer.

Seen that (desperate) Middleton trade, hard not to picture Giannis as the next big domino to fall once they inevitably flame out in the post-season.

I'd send Keldon and some used size 16 San Antonio bloomers

If the Suns trade KD and don't dump Beal or get back at least two good firsts, they're idiots.

    (Narrator: they're idiots anyway)

The only reason why Durant came up as the option to trade is cause the Heat, and possible 3rd teams in a deal, refused to take Beal on. And yeah, Suns should have traded Durant at the beginning of the year like everyone told them too while his value was much higher, but as you stated, Suns aren't the brightest but mainly due to owners arrogance/stubbornness

Rumors are that the Celtics are trying to make a move to get them under the 2nd Apron so they could make a move for KD. Would obviously have to send out the reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown to do so.

That would be amazingly stupid for the Celtics and the Spurs would have to make a play for Brown.

Celtics trading 28 year-old Jaylen Brown so they can land 36 year-old KD would be insanely short-sided.

Saw the rumor on a YouTube show where the guy was reading off some rumors... it was a Celtics account with around 15k followers that said it, but someone in the chat followed up and said that account is full of ... like the Celtics version of Dusty Garza.

    So... maybe disregard that

Sounds like Chet is a long way off from a comeback. That's was a terrible injury by all accounts.

It just makes no sense. The Celts are just now entering machine mode this season. If everyone stays healthy, they're most likely in the Finals again.

OKC RECEIVING draft compensation for Theis to serve as an insurance big.... Presti must walk around with a horseshoe up his ass.

I don't love Theis, but he only makes $2 million and the Spurs sure as could use another backup big right about now. Or any big for that matter. Wish they had been in on this one.

Theis doesn't move the needle enough for the Spurs to use the assets. Makes sense for a team gearing up for a deep playoff run.
