ugh dont remind me. that spurs team was special (with Kawhi of course)
the very first thing he says why he wanted to come to the spurs is youth and because of the potential on defense.
I love it, he has a defensive first mentality.
I hope this team can one day become the defensive juggernaut it once was.

Fox just said Castle was a big reason why he wanted to come here (third slide)
This team needs it![]()
he says his wife didn't want to come to texas.
A reporter asks how come?
She says because with family around there can be distractions! haha i know that feeling lol. In other words, she doesn't want to live close to family haha![]()
De'Aaron just sounds like a cerebral player who understands ... like that whole put about reversing plays for lefties (and the shade he threw at Devin for not understanding that was nice).
But, I don't love hearing that his wife did not want to move back to Texas ... immediately gave me uncle dennis vibes
Fox had 31 and 28 vs Atlanta this season.![]()
Yeah like I said in another thread it's not always the case that somebody wants to go back to their hometown. It seems like it's always assumed that they do.
Remember when Jason Kidd wanted to sign with the Spurs but Joumana didn't want to move here so he nixed us?
This is a W for us for once.
Do like that he talked about how he doesn't go out and stuff, just likes to chill playing Warzone with his friends. Destined to be a Spur.
we'll see but i wouldn't worry about it.
Its funny because he seems to be very open with his personal life, saying he was playing COD Warzone lol and then says that his wife didn't want to come.
But it seemed like it was more due to family reasons, sounds like family is already here in texas and she doesn't want "family distractions". He said her dad moved to texas from california, perhaps she doesn't want to be close to her momd and dad?
who knows...
I'm not particularly confident that Wemby can break the free agency curse in San Antonio. I feel like Brian Wright is still going to have to work the draft and the trade market in order to build a contender.
Look at it this way: players who have winning as their #1 priority will have playing Wemby on top of their list. Players who care about lifestyle and whatnot are better off elsewhere.
And it's not like we'll be gunning for another star, we'll just need a couple of high end starters (or just 1 if we get a good wing in the draft) and bench pieces.

Who is he talking to at the end of this clip?
6 o'clock needs to hurry the up
I thought it was a little tongue and cheek-
He's got a little disparaging humor- "I don't do anything"
Fox and Steph had a 3-point shootout
He's talking to someone else at the end of the clip. Someone who I don't recognize. Wondering who it is.
some Spurs coach. Looks like he made the shot, but dude tells him it's a miss because he didn't swish it.
Yeah but it hasn't this always been the narrative? Free agents never really wanted to come here, even during the big three era when the Spurs were le contenders every year.
Things have changed and PATFO should adjust accordingly.
Big 3 were a team barely talked about, Wemby will be the face of the league.
I didn't quite hear some of that in regard to his wife when I watched it. That makes sense about the distractions. Having said that, I thought that was one of the reasons he wanted to go to the Spurs. I thought he and his wife wanted to move back to Texas, or was it more De'Aaron wanting to move to the Spurs? Was that info wrong? Also, who's parents was he saying moved there? His wife's parents?
We'll see. I think the shine will wear off Wemby and they will just go back to being the Spurs again...which is why I think building a contender as quick as possible is the way to go
He needs to link up with Timmy for some Dungeons and Dragons tbh.
